Sevilla Team ?

Post by southampton gooner »

With Clichy, Ade and Willy out. This is my best guess for team.

Keeper Almunia although I wouldn't be surpised to see Jens

Back 4 Hoyte, Toure, Senderos, Sagna

M/f. Eboue, Denilson, Gilberto, Rosicky. Pos Theo for Eboue if he's fit

Front 2. Eduardo & Bendtner.

I also think this could be our 1st defeat of season

Good luck and have fun to the boys going. I will be thinking of you during my 12 hour night shift. :x

I agree with that thought SG, especially with Phil the BIG Swiss cheese likely to play

I would have thought Traore would be a better bet than Hoyte, being that he is a left-back.

Sevilla lost to Espanyol 2-1 at home on weekend so they won't be in the best state of mind. If this is going to be our line-up, I can't really see us losing the game.

24. Manuel Almunia

3. Bacary Sagna
5. Kolo Toure
6. Philippe Senderos
30. Armand Traore

27. Emmanuel Eboue
8. Lassana Diarra
4. Cesc Fabregas
19. Gilberto
7. Tomas Rosicky

26. Nicklas Bendtner

Substitutions

1. Jens Lehmann
17. Alex Song
31. Justin Hoyte
16. Mathieu Flamini
15. Denilson
32. Theo Walcott
9. Eduardo

It's so hard to read AV for CL games. If you think there was about 8 or 9 changes for the Prague game away. He has to rotate with very busy Dec coming up. :?:

agree with soton gooner,, its a tough month and we will need all our small squad,, but its also inportant to top your cl group,,
so expect only 2-3 changes per game ,,
december could make or break our season

I would guess:-

ALMUNIA
HOYTE
SWISS PHIL
TOURE
SAGNA

DENILSON
DIARRA
CESC
FLANIMAL

EDUARDO
BENDTNER

I fear this one a little. I think we could struggle here.

What's the prize if you get it right?

I hope Traore plays, he's a great player to watch and I was iffed that he didn't lpay in Sheffield buts that cos he was too busy with the French U21's! I think we'll see:

Almunia

Sagna
Toure
Senderos
Traore

Eboue
Cesc
Gilberto
Rosicky

Dudu
Bendtner

Bench:

Theo
Denilson
Hoyte
Jens
Diarra

Possible alternatives:

Giblerto instead of Swiss Phil with Diarra in centre mind
Jens in for Almunia (he's been quiet for a couple of weeks so might get rewarded!)
Denilson Starting with Cesc on the bench
Theo starting instead of Eboue

Basically what I'm saying is AW is harder than Benitez to second guess in Europe!!

Good call - would have been nice to see Diarra again though?

We have two unproven strikers, no left-winger and a crap right-back playing at right-wing  After seeing that line-up I am going to be happy with a draw :)
might be 4-5-1 with dudu left
I hope he doesn't play on the left wing, he should be given a chance to play like he used to for Dinamo Zagreb.
