Does Arsene have too much confidence in the youths

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Does Arsene have too much confidence in the youths

Post by Justin-the-Gooner »

Before I write this thread I am not saying anything bad Arsene at all so I want to make that clear. It is also to hear people"s opinion"s.

We all know the man Arsene is. He will always have confidence in his own managerial tactics and will always carry out his ideas on how football should be done and I am 100% behind him. But do any of you at all think that firstly to play a weakened team away in Prague when you have not guarenteed qualification yet? I know maybe the team was good enough on the night but the performance was not great but we got our point. But if we played our full team and won would be through on top of the league. So maybe he should have waited once again I am not questioning Wenger. Also it has said to have been possible that we will do the same tomorrow. Is that dangerous? If we lose tomorrow first place is almost Sevilla"s. And we have left Willy and Clichy at home. I have faith in the young guns but my question is this.

Should we have waited to guarentee qualification?

Thought Clichy had a slight injury? I would have preferred him to have gone full strength for the last CL game, got the win and then rested his players but we have a lot of games coming up, our second string was capable of getting a point and maybe more but didn't perform on the night, our first choice will need resting when they can.

im old school in that i think you pick your strongest team and only make changes when you have to.
but arsene's the boss and he does what he feels is in the clubs best interest

Good thing, too. You want to avoid doing that on here. You'll be lynched!

And rightfully so. It would be deserved.

I guess he was looking to December. But it would have been nice to have 1st place in the group done by now. Maybe we all thought that side that was played was good enough.
