As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
He did great stuff for Arsenal over the weekend. Hours after admiting he regreted leaving the club he goes and takes 3 points off Manure
Who would take him back at Arsenal. He is a talent way too good for Bolton. But my only doubt would be that we should not do anything to disrupt the current squad in anyway so that is why it is possible I would"nt .
I wouldn't take Anelka back as I think it would upset the balance of the side. No doubting he is an excellent player but not for us these days.
More importantly.....What the chuff were you doing up at 3.10am? Do you not need sleep?
i would take him back in a hearbeat . brilliant finisher and generally good all around play , his passing game is also second to none . i can see him linking up ver well with Van Persie and with Fab and Hleb playing their sublime through balls Anelka would be unstoppable .
Another reason why i want him to be a Gunner is because if he joins Manure or Chelski instead it would greatly strenghthen their squads and that could also bite us in the Arse .
Lastly his attitude seems to have improved a lot and with all the dissapointment he has had since he left us and considering he only has a couple of good years left , you can be sure he will try his absolute hardest every minute he is on the pitch .
We have 6 strikers so unless Dudu doesn't make it, I see no reason to get him but even if Dudu leaves then I'm not too sure, I would still worry about his attitude. If he really has improved then sure, we can get him if the price is right, make a useful option in the squad
id take him back,, theres no doubting he's a very good finisher and as was said by wengerknows it would make the other two a lot stronger
i still think if wenger wanted him then he would have got him in during the summer
Yes i would take him back.He is still a quality striker and a proven goalscorer. Is he better than Ade,Eduardo and Bendtner? the answer is yes.As has been said in an earlier post if he went to Manure or Chelski he would improve both of them. I know some fans would never have him back, but if he is going to improve the team why shouldn"t we buy him
When Anelka left, I felt he could only ever return if he apologised to the AFC fans and say he made a mistake - well he has admitted his mistake so he's half way there - It's taken a long time for him to realise the grass is not always greener.
This team has something special at the moment - far more than money can buy or one player can produce.
I agree with Rebel - Anelka would have been brought back already if Wenger wanted him. I think only if we had a serious injury crisis, would we see "Le sulk" play for us again - and it would only be a quick fix at that.
Would I take him back if we needed a striker? - Most definately
Will it happen? - I doubt it
There have been previous opportunities to buy back Le Sulk but Wenger has chosen not to, I don't see that situation changing. I would loved to have seen Anelka and Henry both in the same Arsenal team, that would have been an incredible partnership.
As was stated above I would take him back in a heartbeat ? If the questioned mentioned above was worded to ask if he is better than ade, bedtner & dudu combined I would still have said yes. The man is a great finisher and equally important has bags of pace making him ideal to play alongside van persie. That he has now admitted that he was wrong to leave Arsenal is just an added bonus for me and I think the signing of anelka & a top keeper would make me believe that we are genuine challengers for the league.
I'd definately want a full blown apology after the way he left, but if that was forthcoming and he didn't mind being rotated and he was under £10mill then I'd have to say yes
I wouldnt have him back if Bolton payed us. He is and will always be bad for team spirit and could blow what we have achieved so far this season, you can see there is a "together-ness" about the team now lets not have that tosser ruin it

In the rocket after the Wigan match on Saturday . Some of the gooners were singing "super super Nic super super Nic super super Nic super Nic Anelka" when the report from the Bolton- Man Utd came on . There was a mixed reception from a few at that song I can tell you! So I think its still a split decision but I would have him back !
