Mc Guinness for President

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Mc Guinness for President

Post by goonersid »

Well how do our southern countrymen feel about the prospect of having Martin mc fucking Guinness as your president?
It is the most ridiculous scenario I can think of, a fucking ignoramus of a man with a let's just say "dodgy history"

I think Martin in his heyday would have called it "friendly advice"

I doubt it myself, he is third favourite, with the bookies.
Michael D. Higgins – EVS
Gay Mitchell – 5/2
Martin McGuiness – 7/2
David Norris – 8/1
Mary Davis – 12/1
Sean Gallagher – 14/1

It is a fucking stupid job, a mostly ceremonial role. Nomination for it has been seen recently as a way of "thanking" some arsehole or other for either good public service or keeping shtum about where the political bodies lie.

This is how retarded it is. The Government must approve all Presidential communications, messages or speeches and the powers of the President can only be exercised on the advice and approval of the Government. So if the President wants to do anything officially, or indeed fucking say anything, they need the agreement of the Government.

So called “powersâ€

I never like asking my mate from Northern Ireland about politics just in case I either offend or get a visit from some boyos in balaclavas.
