Womens Champions League

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Womens Champions League

Why oh why oh why do the club insist on making the women play their high profile Champions League fixtures at 2pm on midweek afternoons (Weds 9th Nov) for their next fixture?

I know the interest from the public is minimal but surely they deserve better than playing in front of 20 or so people on a Wednesday afternoon in Borehamwood? Why not open the Emirates for free after or before a mens fixture and play it then or just play it at a time when more can attend?

If they played just before or after the men, we would all see that the skill gap between the two teams is no longer that vast and therein lies your answer.

I totally agree with you but unfortunately the majority of the posters on here cannot accept that the Treble Winning World Class Arsenal Ladies team are worthy of anything more than jokes about housework.

BTW They won their last CL match 6-0 (10-0 over both games)!
