The other half and football

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ok so I've been with my mrs for over a year now, and she has never really showed much of an interest in football! She would watch games with me on tv but that was about it!
Well that's all started to change, you see she keeps an eye on scores, no more watching shit films on sky movies when motd is on, sits and watches any of the live games on skysports!
Once upon a time I would of thought this was great, but now I'm not sure? You see football was my get away ha! But now I can't escape to watch the football as she wants in!
Damn she even hates spurs and also hates nasri!
I guess I shouldn't moan about it, she's all good and still manages to add her femaleness in too (she has a thing about dissing players haircuts) ha!
Anyways, anyone else here got a mrs who's into her football??

No, all of my girlfriends have fucking endlessly complained about football, me going to it that is, and tried to find 'other' hobbies for me.

When she says 'let's go to the theatre Saturday afternoon' or some other bollocks, or uses the word 'matinee', you know the end is near :roll:

She hates it but is not the kind that wants to dictate to me what my hobbies should or shouldn't be. Will have to find a compromise soon though once i start my new job i wont be able to see her much during the week so may have to ration how many weekends i dedicate to the arsenal.

But thats because im a reasonable person 8)

It's probably because I'm bitter & single but I fucking hate couples at football. :lol: Especially when its away games I've had a fucking mission to get tickets for. The girls always look totally bored & disinterested but they get to spend some time with the other half so I guess they think they may as well tag along.

I always think "wtf are you doing here?! I know loads of passionate Gooners who would kill for your ticket." I was sure footy was meant to be about getting away from the other half for an afternoon?

im taking mrs rebel up the arse for the 4th time at the end of the month v fulham and she loves it :wink:

but of course i then have to spend the next day shopping with her :cry:
