Alex Flynn and the Arsenal board rumour

Post by Champagne Charlie »

Rumours doing the rounds that Arsenal might invite another member to the baord.

Apparently Ken Friar is to retire and in his place some say Tom King, others say a member of the Kroenke family but the most eyecatching rumour is that Usmanov may be offered an olive branch in the form of David Dein making a return...

Not sure how Dead-Wood and co would take that...?

Wishful thinking?

Dein coming back would be the best thing to have happened to the club for the last few years. Dead Wood can go fuck himself.

More chance of Daniel Levy, Ossie Ardiles or Chas and Dave joining the board than Dein or Usmanov!

PHW had already made his share money by the time he said the 'his sort' statement

KEN THE TICKET TOUTS FRIEND FRIAR

Post by Herd »

He will have to be dragged out by his boots , unless they are forcing him out he will hang in there forever unless of course he is ill .
He has a fairly cushy number at Arsenal
Friar is and has always been strictly a small Potato's man dealing with the micro management for the club or if you like the operations aspect.
In the old days he was the Hillwoods bag man ,doing everything from collecting the cash to paying the refs but nowadays its mainly just the Box Office, the groundstaff ,the backroom staff, etc . His role has been diminishing as Arsenal under Kroenke and Gazidiz bring more and more commercial people in to deal with corporate events and entertainment and the F + B which was allegedly his little goldmine along with the Arsenal Shop and of course ticket touting.
He wont be missed by many as he is a bully and a tyrant !
