UNDERTONES/ARSENAL SHIRT
UNDERTONES/ARSENAL SHIRT
Not sure if there are any Undertones fans out there (Franksav??) but i have created a very obscure T shirt!!
Based on the classic My Perfect Cousin Sleeve the front is based on the front sleeve but the subuteo player is in a classic 71 Arsenal homeshirt (rather than the original Derry City strip) with AFC TOTAL FOOTBALL under the image.
The rear is based on the back cover of the single which features a subuteo player with snapped legs. Once again I have changed the kit to the 1971 Arsenal one and have added a 2 footed challenge from another subuteo player in a Birmingham City shirt!!!!
Under the image are the Words
ENGLISH FOOTBALL.
Even by my standards this one is a little abstract but if you like both The Gooners and the Undertones it works!!!

sounds a good shirt although the undertones were a bit too poppy for my liking, they played at parkhead a couple of years ago before we played celtic in the champions league, they were second loudest noise that night with the Arsenal away support loudest and the celtic fans a poor third...great night

You're right. No Feargal but the brains behind the Undertones are the O Neill brothers and the new singer is great anyway.Feargal was merely the voice (but I agree he was pretty distinctive).
Off to see them in Brighton on Dec 10th (so early exit from the Everton match that night).
Will be wearing the T shirt that day as I'm rushing straight to the gig after the game if anyone wants to see it in the flesh!!

UNDERTONES
Loved the undertones saw em quite a lot when they first appreared on TOTP's Fergal was wearing a home knitted sweater bless em .
My Pal gave him a clash shirt to wear on his next appearance.
Unfortunately Mr Fergal Sharkey turned into a complete arsehole after he rose to power by virtue of the BBC/Government .
Still I'd love to see the Tshirt
