SALMON KALOU
SALMON KALOU
Looks like AVB is getting ruthless and along with Alex and Anelka, he will be ditching Cech, Bosingwa and Kalou.
Now. It's a fact that Wenger tried to, and almost signed Kalou two summers ago. Kalou confirmed it almost happened.
Chelski will certainly ditch him, and I am 99% certain that, bring cheap, French speaking and African; AW will finally get his man over summer.
Does anyone out there actually think he'd add anything to us?
My view is: if he ain't good enough for Chelski then it's an offence for Arsenal to be going anywhere near him.
Wenger's recent history of sneering bargain deals from our "rivals" reads: Silvestre, Benayoun. Rubbish imo.
Also think Kalou is exactly like Gervinho: some good approach play but tactically brainless and retarded.
I genuinely think though that those expecting Goetze and Hazard, are more likely to have Kalou as the creative number 10.
Anyone rate him?

I think Anelka would be a good addition to your side for the run in but I can't honestly see where Kalou would fit in. I've never been entirely sure where his best position is meant to be but tbh I wouldn't have him anywhere in your side. As an option from the bench I suppose he would be okay, but I doubt he'd want to swap one bench for another, and he wouldnt be cheap so I think you'd be better off spending the money on someone who can actually improve your starting eleven. He's not a bad little footballer like, but he's not what you need at all
On the first hand it is a definite 'no' - never been decent enough in the PL for my liking, and as you rightly say, if he's not good enough for a team that may well end up finishing at the bottom of the top four, then why the fuck should we be interested?
However, if this option was given to me as the sole alternative to watching the Moroccan plodder and "super quality" Park then, I would reluctantly say yes, on the basis that (a) he can run faster than an arthritic tortoise and (b) he probably won't spend the entire 90 minutes being brushed aside like a little boy lost.
Would be a sign of how far we've fallen in terms of expectations in signing "super quality" though
