we're lucky with injuries this season, if you take jack aside, we have been playing our first choice midfield and attack for almost the whole season...
so this is more arsenal, i have to say
anyway, it's a shame. he was playing well, a lot better than i thought he would i have to admit. and well, now we have no one for the position. gibbs is just like rosicky and diaby - you can't rely on those players.
i wish we went for a left back in january, but i don't see it coming to be fair.

I still say Gibbs isn't a left back, he's a left sided wide midfielder more suited to attacking full backs rather than being one. He gets alot of unfair stick on here because he's being played out of position, people will point to Arshavin having the same treatment but at least Gibbs puts a shift in

Actually this is one of those rare moments when Wenger does deserve criticism. Santos should NEVER have played in Greece - fuck knows what he was thinking of to even let him board the plane
this could be very significant at the end of the season
Injured in a meaningless game he shouldn't have been playing in
So now all hopes are pinned on injured - and injury prone - Gibbs
I think we might have to get used to seeing Vermaelen at left back for some time yet. Whether that's a good thing or not, is debatable. I'd certainly say it's nice having a defensive minded left back for a change! - and if Mert and Koscielny can form a partership together, then a back four of Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Koscielny and Sagna might not be a bad thing?
