MILAN TICKETS

Post by jimmygooner »

Does it matter if I give someone else my ticket (with my name on it)?

I've never been to the san siro so I don't know whether they'll check or not - so what would normally happen? would they ask for photo id etc? would it be ok if I gave someone else my ticket?

Thanks for the help!
Have a good christmas!

The last time I went, you had to undergo a blood test and retina scan to get in. :D

The restrictions are detailed on the ticket page. I will have to get mine by phone if I go, as even if the season ticket waiting list (the name they use for away tickets) should be mine it isn't, am not sure why though as I got it for myself.

From the ticket page.
*First Name, Surname, DOB and country of birth will be required of all travelling supporters attending this fixture*

We will be implementing the same procedure when we played Udinese this season as per Italian regulations.

This will mean the first name, surname, DOB and country of birth must be supplied for the travelling supporter at the time of booking. (If the first name, surname, DOB and country of birth of the travelling supporter are not supplied at the time of booking, you will not be allowed to continue your purchase until this is confirmed).

Please note: Names of the travelling supporter will be written on the match ticket and names cannot be changed once the booking has been made - we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

It is a legal requirement to carry photographic identification at all times during your stay in Italy. In addition no supporter will be allowed into the stadium without photo ID. The photo ID must correlate to the name on the ticket.

The name, date of birth and seat details of all travelling supporters will be provided by Arsenal Football Club to AC Milan.

We are aware that there are a number of members who either have season tickets registered in a company name or have more than one season ticket registered in their own name, we are also aware that the member purchasing the ticket may not be the supporter travelling to Italy.

Heard mixed reports, some saying they check & others saying they don't.

I'm inclined to think you'll probably be OK but i'm gonna be getting mine in my own name if at all possible. Better safe than sorry...

Never had this problem, it's surely impossible to carry out ID checks on every away fan? Would add lengthy delays to everyone entering the stadium

It is purely hit or miss. I have been checked in Rome and always Juve but never anywhere else.

Pay your money and take your chance. But as Arsenal will put any name on tickets just sort it at the point of ordering... Simples

i thought they can only put the name of which the season ticket belongs to on the ticket..so I can't buy a ticket off my ST and give it to another gooner because my name will be on the ticket, not the gooner that's going to the game?

where does it say that you can change the name on the ticket?

Just to clear this up. When the person who logs onto Arsenal. com to buy Milan ticket it will ask the name of the person who you want to go on the ticket. Some people have more than one season ticket in their name. Arsenal do not care who's name goes on ticket as if there is a problem they sort it with the season ticket holder who purchased it. It does state this in the purchase details. I have bought many tickets for other people this way for games in Italy

From arse.com

We are aware that there are a number of members who either have season tickets registered in a company name or have more than one season ticket registered in their own name, we are also aware that the member purchasing the ticket may not be the supporter travelling to Italy.

Mine got checked in Udine this year mate but didn't in Rome.

I reckon that was due to the numbers though, 5000 trying to get through the turnstiles is different than a few hundred.

jamjc64,

thanks for letting me know..you 100% certain? even if my season ticket is not in a company name and my name is only on one season ticket, will they still ask me what name i want to be put on the tkt? do they also ask what DOB/country of birth you want to put on that match ticket? i always thought that they will take this info from your account details on ur ST, meaning that you can't buy a ticket for another supporter?!?!

Reet lads, how certain are we that this will go to red members? Me and me mate have shit loads of holiday to take before March so this seems like an ideal Arsenal away game to do but last year against Barca we left it until tickets went to reds before trying to renew the red membership, missed out by the time they had activated the renewal and we ended up having to pay over £300 in Barca per ticket, so if its definitely likely to go to reds we'll renew now to save the hassle!
