When we finish fifth (or maybe sixth)............
will there be any fall out? (manager, players or the board etc)
We are not going to finish above a good team (and squad) like that of The Spuds and I say that when the pressure is really on, The Chavs will be to professional for our boys and therefore we will be confined to fifth.
I just fear that nowt will happen (apart from the quality players thinking why stay with this shower both on the pitch and in the boardroom).
Anyone out there wish to try and cheer me up.

It's all very well asking people to pay for a rise in ST prices when you're still in europe, but you can't expect people to pay the highest prices in Europe for a side which finishes in the lower top half of the table.
The club have already prepared all their bullshit statements in advance about our wonderful model not being dependant upon qualifying for the CL.
However, anyone that can read a cashflow statement will understand that failure to do so will halve the club's annual free cashflow, and at the premium that Jimmy Krankee paid for his shares, that is a serious knock to his return on the investment. It also makes the club less attractive to new buyers, which is the only reason Jimmy is here to start with i.e. pay down the debt, sell for a high multiple on free cash in 3 years or less.
So we live in hope that he might be forced into some sort of action if we slip further - hopefully that involved bulleting that useless *word censored* Gazidis at the first opportunity

I think Wenger and the board have already discussed this possibility, and will be even more conservative with their spending than normal.
We'll lose Van Persie and replace him (inadequately, of course) and carry on as we were.... meaning a continued steady decline.
People who think finishing outside the top 4 is a blessing will be left shocked, as I don't think they quite appreciate how sure Wenger and the board are that this path of financial prudence is the way to go.
I also believe that Wenger and the board are very much of the same mind, and there will be no fall out whatsoever... Wenger will stay and get the full support of the board, regardless. Their relationship is solid.

Just look at our balance sheet. That should cheer you up!A dallying Gus Caesar wrote:will there be any fall out? (manager, players or the board etc)

For the 5th year running, we're the Profit League Champions!

Once we fall out the top 4, we'll see how hard it is to get back. Look at Liverpool, they can't seem to get there and how long its taken Spuirs to finally get a strangle hold.
Will be very interesting to see what the club do regarding prices when we sit in the Europa League, in front of a half empty stadium.
But who's to say we'll get in that. Maybe there'll be no european football next season??

What's most criminal is the fact that there's simply no urgency at the club to rectify matters. We're clearly struggling and are already lagging far behind the top three, and yet AW is cruising along as if everything is fine and dandy.
Without the 'speculate to accumulate' mindset, we will indeed end up outside the top four by a country mile, and the club have only themselves to blame.

Will be interesting to see what happens if/when we drop out at the end of the year. I cannot see the club reducing ticket prices a year after a 6% increase and expect the usual - club has bills to pay, have to sustain profits in order to maintain self sufficient model.
I am hoping that when some of the defenders and JW19 return we can have a solid second half to the season as any team would struggle if they lost 6 of the defenders in their squad, but i think that it is probably too late now and that is all it is at the moment - hope. Fully expect us to finish outside the top 4 unless issues are addressed this month, lets be honest for the first time in years the current crop are just not up to it and there needs to be a major overhaul at the club from the top to the bottom.
