Harry Knows

Post by frankbutcher »

I'd swap Wenger for Redknapp in a heart-beat. He might be a crook, but he builds hungry squads for reasonable money. He spots problems in his squads and makes amendments accordingly. He gets on with the press, doesn't get into touchline spats with all and sundry and treats each competition he's in seriously.

Who else would have him at Arsenal? (Please leave rivalries aside.)

He builds squads at a cost, he almost killed Portsmouth, do you love Arsenal more than you hate Wenger or vice versa?

Redknapp is enthusiastic about every Cup because he's won fuck all, if you were a Virgin you would want to shag everything that moved, if you got your leg over once in a hike you would be a bit more selective, you follow?

Take off your blinkers for a moment.

Who is the better manager in the present? Remember that our wage bill is £30m - £40m more than Spurs. He has a good blend of experience and youth. He picks up genuine bargains, and not just cheap shite on massive wages. If you prefer Wenger, explain to me why Wenger has been a better boss than Redknapp over the last 18 months. I'm all ears.

because Wenger qualified for the Champions league in 2011 and 'Arry didn't :barscarf:

and your figures are wy way off - spurs wage bill for May 2011 for the season was 67 million.

from the beeb :

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13711054
Spurs' wage bill in the year to June 2010 was £67m, 40% less than Arsenal, 49% less than Man Utd and a staggering 61% less than Chelsea - and that was the year it came fouth in the Premier League, precipitating the highs and lows of 2010-11 in the Champions League.
carry on.

£26.8m less to be precise then. He's on half the money Wenger is on too. Is Wenger twice as good a manager as Redknapp?

STOP LIVING IN THE PAST. GET INTO THE PRESENT.

Redknapp is a better manager pound for pound than Wenger.........by an absolute country mile.

I'm talking about the last 18 months. Wenger USED to be a great manager, but he's not anymore. Redknapp has had one crack at managing a top team and he's doing better than Wenger on half the wages and £30m less in wages.

Why is Wenger doing better than Redknapp? He ain't won diddly for 6-7 seasons. Redknapp has won a pot at Portsmouth since Wenger last won one.

BTW - he may have spent a lot at Pompey and Southampton but it's petty cash compared to the waste that Wenger has made of his budgets. FACT.

Was going to say Wenger to preserve the last vestiges of class at Arsenal. Then I realised they are out the window.

So I think I'm going off to :suicide:
