BSM Press Release Stage I
Stage I is out there. If you don't want price increases next season start by contacting the club.

It may not be enough for some at this stage . . . but this is where we start. We'll leave it to your discretion who to address it to.

There will be more price rises to come almost guaranteed. They will look at the basic economics - supply and demand - and realise that when all is said and done they continue to sell the bowl out and all this despite selling two of our best players, imposing a 6.5% increase on fans, and the team not regularly featuring in the top four all season.
I encounter the type of people that run Arsenal in everyday working life and they would come to similar conclusions. They would congratulate themselves on a 'recession proof' model and review the pricing model with sensitivities as to how far they could rise prices before attendances would fall.
I've tried arguing this long and hard but I'm afraid Arsenal know where they've got you. If they put the prices up 5% again, everyone will still renew. Then they'll moan. By that time, the continuation of the decline of the club and its break with traditional supporters will be further down the path
Kroenke's invested a lot of money. The only language he will understand is when his return starts to get slashed.
Good luck Reg - what you guys are doing is honourable stuff and thank god someone has got off their arse and organised it in a proper, structured way. But I don't trust Gazidis and I believe strongly that whatever review of ticketing happens it will be loaded heavily in the club's favour

Could start that with smaller protest like a mass non-attendance for the first 10 minutes of a televised game.Chippy wrote:Wondering if its time to think about boycotting the Norwich game. it would send a very powerful signal if the stadium was half empty for the "lap of shame". Also would make them worry about the finance stream if we start to see more games that don't sell out.
Such as getting the majority of fans (I know all won't agree) to either wait outside the grove and/or in the concourse before entering.
Good idea, looks great when done in Europe. Good luck getting enough Arsenal fans organised enough to work together on this though!Boomer wrote:Could start that with smaller protest like a mass non-attendance for the first 10 minutes of a televised game.Chippy wrote:Wondering if its time to think about boycotting the Norwich game. it would send a very powerful signal if the stadium was half empty for the "lap of shame". Don't the majority of people that attend Arsenal games generally turn up 10 minutes late and leave 10 minutes early anyways though?

That's the only problem.Dan_85 wrote:Good idea, looks great when done in Europe. You mean the only problem, other than the obvious one that everybody has already paid for their tickets so it doesn't hurt the club in the slightest. Its not a publically traded company where the share price is going to move. Two major shareholders own it between them, one with a vast majority, so it isn't as if the adverse publicity will hurtBoomer wrote:That's the only problem.Dan_85 wrote:Good idea, looks great when done in Europe. It will only work if it hurts financially.
