Restaurants near the Grove

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Restaurants near the Grove

Post by Gooner Jim »

Gave my old man my united tickets for his birthday because I couldnt make it and he wants to go with my mum to a restaurant after the game on Sunday. Any recommendations of a restaurant or even a pub that serves food on a Sunday after 6 :?:

I would say trullo on Highbury corner but they do not serve Sunday dinner.

There is a very good Argentinian steakhouse on the Blackstock Road, can't remember the name.

Also on the Blackstock there is Yildiz Ocakbasi a nice Turkish joint and Il Cavaliere an Italian place where you often see the team/manager/Gazidis after games... It is probably fully booked after the game though.

Lots of good joints on Upper Street. On the holloway road there isn't that much. If you like kebabs I'd say Yildiz or if you want to drink Delight, next to the 12 Pins.

There are also a few decent places on the holloway road, you could just walk down and see what takes your fancy.

They could always try the burger van on the way to the ground that's been 'serving Gooners for 15 years'. Always go there followed by 2 BAGS OF SWEETS FOR A POUND...ANY 2 YOU LIKE'

Depends? El Pirata in Mayfair, Tendido Cero or Capote y Toro in South Kensington, Tendido Cuatro on the Fulham Road, La Rueda on the Kings Rd, La Mancha in Putney, and one I can't remember up near Regent's Park...

Oh and the massive market-style place in Portobello Rd/North Kensington....

...alternatively you could just have a ploughman's?
