Greedy Kroenke shows true colours

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Greedy Kroenke shows true colours

Post by Rad »

I noticed today that the St Louis Rams (owned by Kroenke) will be playing at Wembley for the next three seasons as part of the NFL International series (probably be there three more times that Arsenal the way things are going). He has probably beaten the Glazers to it who have bought the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over here two out of the last three seasons.

His motive is no doubt to make huge profits from the UK crowd as the ticket prices are silly prices and the money he will make from Tv revenue and merchandise will no doubt be more than the Rams could make in months. It shows you the lengths he is willing to go to to make money. He's not interested in winning. In taking them abroad it means disrupting the season and worst of all means fans will lose one home game for the next three seasons. They only have 8 home games a season.

No wonder we are off to Nigeria in pre-season!!

Perhaps you should watch a few games first before making that conclusion

There is a system of fairness/parity in the nfl that puts the world of football to shame - granted it would be impossible to impliment the same system in football but the system of rich clubs having all the power and trophies being shared amongst an elite few would not be tolerated over there for a minute 8)

Anyway if you are looking for a better reason to tie in with kroenke then maybe look at his behaviour in the hiring of a new coach - it was a well known fact that his rams team wanted jeff fisher to be next seasons head coach but the miami dolphins also wanted him but kroenke said that they were not willing to pay bigger money to entice him even though he was their first choice  Granted they got their man anyway but that was down to fisher wanting to go to a weaker division and having a better quarterback but the message it sends me is that when our senile coach finally fcuks off. kroenke will not be willing to do the necessary to secure the best man as his replacement

Augie. The bloke is probably the highest paid PL Manager at this time.

If you mean that there would not be the funds to rebuild the team with the quality players that we want/deserve, then yes, no-one but a yes man will get the job, and we will never progress.

Remeber that $$$$$$'s are extremely tight in the USA because they are really bankrupt.

Cheers

Or ten seconds of mindless violence followed by a two minute committee meeting.
