Anyone know if we will be hosting the UEFA cup or if we have tried to?
i see we are a host for the rugger world cup when it returns here, but wondered if we are gtting a euro final anytme soon, or if the club have even tried, is there any benefit?

To be honest I have never really understood the clamour by any of the "big clubs" to stage a euro final in their own ground
For me you wanting to be making your own history in your own stadium instead of being a bit part of some other clubs history. Don't get me wrong, I would love to attend a champs leg final but wouldn't want it to be at the grove

I guess our chances are limited due to being in the same city as Wembley.
Might get a UEFA Cup final, I suppose... or the Autoglass Windscreen, if that's still running

I read somehwhere that an european cup final venue has to have a minimum capacity of 70k. That means only Wembley and er OT
can hold one in england.
This might apply for the champions league final, europa might be different.

We can't apply for a CL final due to capacity. However, we can apply for Europa League final in 2015
