Arteta post match motd interview...

Post by northbankbren »

Cant quite remember word for word but hinted at being told "improvements" will be made in the squad in the summer and keeping consistencey till then???

Would this hint that the squad are being told this summer will see a change in transfer policy, and to expect top quality arrivals???

I HOPE SO!!!!

On a slight tangent (but MOTD related), I tuned-in to see us beat City again and couldn't believe the coverage. You'd have thought City controlled the first half when they barely got a kick in the first 25 minutes. The pundits talked about us controlling the match but the coverage didn't show that.We still won though.

I barely watch motd anymore, pretty much every week they misrepresent our matches. I go on 101greatgoals.com just to see the goals in other matches.

We have "the premiership" on RTE much more comprehensive highlights, and the pundits usually call it like it is.

Exactly what me and my son chatted about last night when we watched after we got back...booo. Didn;t even show Toure getting booked. At least ''evened it up'' with coments after when inferred we battered them...which we did

i think you misunderstood him Bren, i thought that's what he said as well.. But listening to it again - i think he was implying there would be changes over the next few weeks in league positions.

not incoming players in the summer

they concentrated alot on yaya toure going off, like they were implying that's what made the difference and thats why city loss.

Did MOTD show Balotelli's attempted leg break on Song? It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't. The :cussing: :censored:

bizarrely, the extended highlights on the arsenal player neither shows it, nor makes any mention of it whatsoever :?

The bias within the BBC against Arsenal is rather obvious and has been going on for some time now, to pick out a recent example separate from the shambolic coverage yesterday against Everton when Rosicky was fouled in the box and the most obvious penalty this season should have been awarded, the incident wasn't shown or even mentioned in the post match analysis but Everton's 'goal' was replayed over and over, with the pundits suggesting that Arsenal had ridden their luck. Also conveniently omitted were Pienaar's disgusting continual fouls and the free kicks being awarded to Everton when Arsenal players breathed. Atrocious, truly. It makes a mockery of the game.

On topic, I picked up upon that bit too and I must say I'm rather hopeful for this summer's transfer window but only if we qualify the Champions League, something which isn't assured.

Oh, and not showing Ivanovic punching a Wigan player in the stomach in the lead up to a Chelsea goal.

The BBC are slags.

skysports have at least mentioned it, although it stayed on their front page for less than 12 hours
