Kuszak

Post by Sutch »

Read on Sky Sports that Thomas Kuszak is to leave United at the end of the season as a free agent. Now I'm not saying we should try and get him, but does anyone think Wenger will try to pull off a sneaky coup as a second choice GK to Szczesny? He surely can't be convinced by Fabianski, and with Almunia obviously off this summer too and maybe Mannone. We wouldn't have to pay either, which suits Wenger all the way.

We've rode our luck in the league this season by having Shezza fit for every single one. Kuszak isn't the answer but I wouldn't be surprised if Wenger tries to get him this summer.

I would imagine he is leaving united because he doesnt want to be the number 2. If thats the case I doubt he will fancy it at Arsenal either

He just might do that, we'll need a new keeper with Moonia and Vito getting the boot and Fab wanting to leave so he can take chesney's throne at the polish NT ( might be delusional, but if that's what it takes for him to leave...)

As cheap and youth prone as Arsène is, can't see a goalkeeping trio of Martinez, Chesney and Shea, so someone is coming.

Flash with our injury record can you honestly expect us to have the same GK fit for all league and CL (If we qualify) games? As I said we've rode our luck with Szczesny being fit for all league games so far but it was a risk with no good back up. Although I'd prefer someone better than Kuszack.

Kuszak is utter dump

Whenever I've seen him he looks like a bag of nerves, flapping away at everything, unnerving his defenders

Of course he's still better than Fabianski

If we want another Flappy then yeah why not, let's sign him.

There's a reason he's 4th choice at Man Ure.

If we're sniffing around our rivals for back up keepers then we could do worse than to bring Stuart Taylor back from Citeh. He's an Arsenal lad and he's getting fuck all playing time for them.

Didn't say I wanted him here, was wondering if Wenger will try to get him. Silvestre goalkeeper version.

short term, jussi jaaskelainen at 37 could be a good bet, the problem is with Chesney only being 21 and hopefully having a long, successful career at Arsenal, could be in our goal for another 15 years, so it will be difficult to attract any young keeper who will happily sit on the bench year after year

That's why Taylor would be perfect, as he's on the wrong side of 30 and will be happy with a back up role. He's also English/home grown and as I mentioned earlier a gooner.

I was scrolling down the page to see if anyone mentioned him, definitely would have him at The Arsenal as a number 2 and goalkeeping coach, good shout.
