Paul Robinson 2nd choice keeper???

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Paul Robinson 2nd choice keeper???

Post by burns718 »

Would anyone have him behind chez?

Although relegated with a poor Blackburn side he has a wealth of premier and international experience!

Thoughts????

I think he would be a great addition to the squad. Chezza has bags of potential, but he still makes a lot of silly mistakes. Look at the Norwich game. Having an experienced keeper around could only be a good thing

He's still got a lot to offer as a first choice keeper in the top flight in my view - still probably in the top 10 keepers playing in this country, so not sure he'd want to play second fiddle.

Clearly he is far better than any of the Three Stooges we have in reserve so if he fancied it then definitely

Is this a wind up? Experienced yes, but if his career performances against Arsenal are anything to go by, no way. An appalling keeper.

This forum is a scary and worrying place sometimes.

I do presume this is a joke.

Almunia sums up everything that has been crap about the second half of Wenger's realm at Arsenal.
Almunnia is a terrible goalkeeper and though Robinson is not the greatest keeper he is far better than the Spaninard.

I think Robinson would be a superb 'squad' addition to the club. Better than Flappy et al.

Robinson is a fat prick who has spent half his career picking the ball out of the net against us. He's where he belongs now, down in the lower divisions.

No way he has been awful for ages.Better than Flappy and Average Al yes but thats not saying much.

Still think we should go for Schwarzer as number 2/goalkeeping coach.Remember the keeper we could have got for £3m two years ago.

You know the 2nd choice and 3rd choice goalkeeper situation is desperate when Paul Robinson is suggested and fans say they would rather have Almunia ahead of him
