Ian wright named 1st team coach at MK dons
Just been announced in SSN, I never thought he would go into management but good luck to him!
Question is, could you ever see him back at arsenal in a coaching capacity?

Could be interesting. He speaks quite good tactical sense on the radio if you can get past the loud screaming and soundbites. If this works out for him hopefully he can become the 1st sucessful ex-arsenal player turned manager of that era.

Never thought of him as a coach, thought he was a media type, but if he can do well there then no reason why one day he might not be back with us.

There's no doubting his passion for the game, I hope it works out for him as he was an absolute hero of mine growing up

I guess his TV career is dead then.
he always struck me as a free sprit, i can't see him taking orders well.
he would be a big influence in most dressing rooms. i'm not sure how the quieter european players would warm to him though.
I wish him the best of luck.

After AVB was sacked he tweeted about how badly treated he had been I replied to him and asked him if he would ever get into management? He actually replied
and said he was doing his badges and to watch this space!!
I'm really pleased for him he is my favourite ever Arsenal player and who knows might even come back one day

If I needed someone to organise a boys' weekend he'd be the man. Managing a football team, I'm not so sure, though it'll be interesting to see a different style at work. I hope he's successful.
I think he's a top man and was a great player (if you've not read his autobiography I can recommend it). I've never known a forward work harder on the pitch than him and his joyful goal celebrations show how it should be done.

he'd be a great motivator (when things are going well) but i dunno how he'd get on with the discipline side of it.
obviously i've never met the man and am only going on his public persona (which could be a complete front, though he does seem to wear his heart on his sleeve) but i could see him being more the players' mate than their boss.
hope i'm wrong, it's about time one of our legends other than george gets somewhere in management

I wish him the very best. Agree with Flash.....will always be my favourite gooner (Wrighty not Flash!)

Re: Ian wright named 1st team coach at MK dons
The guy's passion for the game can not be questioned and he probably hates losing more than any player I've ever seen wear the shirt. If that can be chanelled the right way there's no doubt he can have a positive impact on a dressing room.
If you see Wrighty when he's being interviewed and Arsenal have lost or are doing badly you can see how much it eats at him. Lets see how he develops as a coach - hope it works out for him and would love to think he could come back and make a go of it. Look how much he loves the club every time he's invited back for some sort of tribute or celebration on the field

Re: Ian wright named 1st team coach at MK dons
Sorry but I just dont see him in any type of coaching capacity - wrighty always struck me as a player who played by instinct more than anything else and instinct is not something you can teach imo. Even go past that and I would question how much he actually has stored in that head of his cos again I never felt that he was that intelligent and wasnt a tactics type of player. Having said all that, I dont think I have ever seen a more natural goalscorer so if he can coach young strikers a fraction of that skills then he will do a good job
