usual thread starter… Only a keeper required? Some might argue for a centre-back and a right winger. Can Arsenal continue to top the league without re-enforcements?
Reflections on the season so far (20/12)
I dont think anyone could have predicted such a brilliant start to the season.Sagna was a brilliant signing,Flamini has been superb and at last we seen the real Helb.As for Cesc if he isn"t the player of the year then i"m a Dutchman.Looking forward to RVP hitting top form in the second half of the season

Reflections on the season so far
I agree with you for the most part and think why some players,Flamini,Hleb etc have come to the fore is because Theirry has gone.Brillant player that he was he intimidated his team mates but now they can express themselves and if they make a mistake they are not subjected to the gallic scowl and contemptuous shrug of the shoulders.
As for Tottenham they seem to be improving beating Pompey and Man City away so unless this is a false dawn (new manager coming in so form improves temporary) we will need to take them seriously especially the Carling Cup semi-final when they will play their strongest team and we will play our juniors.

The main article is a good and timely reflection on the story of the season so far. I agree with sentiments about about ending the unbeaten run - after all, we've been there, done that, got the W26D12L0 T-shirt - but it's only worth it if you finish top. Had say ManUre for example W30D1L7 it might have been looked less impressive and not made the history books...but they'd have been champions
. So let's forget unbeaten runs now and concentrate on the Premier League and um, er the little matter of AC Milan. We seem to be almost through the injury crisis but we do need a couple of reinforcements to back up the squad during the African Cup of Nations and cover against the possibility of more injuries. All that's left for now is to stuff the St Totteningham's Turkey today and sit back and enjoy top spot with some genuine turkey on Christmas Day - a pleasure which no Gooner would have staked anything approaching their mortgage on back in July. Finally, although this hopefully won't be my last pre-Christmas post, I wish a Happy Christmas to all Online Gooners. It's been a great season so far: The Arsenal - thanks guys, I do really feel Proud To Say That Name...
