PL losses £361 million

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

PL losses £361 million

Post by Top Londoner »

Just thought I would drop this off here.

Premier League losses amounted to £361 million for 2010/11. Revenue was £2.3 billion.

I heard someone mention on the radio that Villa's wage bill accounted for 90% of their income.

Nothing against you TL but i remember when being a football supporter was all about the football and no one knew or cared how much the club had, made or lost :suicide:

I hear you Flash. I'm 49 y/o, so ditto.

I just wonder what 'product' we shall be left with when the petrodollars are finished with,,,,,,and they will be. That said, I do recall that the Spanish govt. loaned R.Madrid £200m back in the 90's.

It would be nice to have our game handed back to us though. It seems that nowadays the majority of supporters (who can afford it) remind me of David Blane voyeurs. Standing and waiting for something to happen and then taking a photo of it on their smartphone.

i know, I sound like my dad.

City's wage bill is 107% of their income. Football is fucked, that's no secret but to sit around waiting for it to change to exactly fit the Arsenal model is stupid. We must move with the times, sensibly of course.

I couldn't give a shit whether a club makes a load of money, but we do need to be concerned about the amount of money being lost in the game, because otherwise clubs will go under and football will kill itself off.

Well City are responsible for more than half of that total loss and I'm sure they won't be turning into a profit anytime soon......so lets see what those heavyweights at UEFA do when they blatantly break their wonderful new rules

Not a fucking thing, or given some sort of extension would be my bet
