3 Points on Saturday or trip to Wembley?

Post by mike »

I have a real bad feeling 'That lot' down the road are going to pay us back by beating us over two legs in the Beer Cup.

I had S*urs fans ringing me up last night harping on about how 'they were gonna 'take there revenge' and how it was 'payback time' and that Arsenal were 'The ones that they wanted'!! Without giving them the satisfaction of agreeing with them I simply replied by saying that as long as we beat them on Saturday (taking 6 points out of 6 against them in the League) I wouldn't be too fussed regarding the outcome in the Cup. After I'd spoken to them though, I started to wonder weather I meant this deep down!!

The thought of our reserve team knocking them out of The Beer Cup again at the same stage for second time in a row, robbing them of a place in the final at Wembley and a possible Uefa Cup spot is simply mouth - watering!!

As good a feeling as that Is, us dropping points at The Grove on Saturday is as much a nauesating prospect as knocking them out of the carling cup is a good one!!

Im still Un-decided as to which one I'd prefer!! You can drop points in a League game and still be ok, but knocking them out AGAIN at the same stage of the carling cup would shatter them I think and It would give us Bragging rights forever!! Us not winning on Saturday however, being knocked off top spot for Christmas in the process would also be pretty hard to take.

Its a toughie, What do you think?

thats a tough choice,

think if it came to it then the league is more important.

but cant face the fact that the cnuts might beat us

I voted for the win in the league and out of the cup. However, upon reflection, I would prefer to draw on Saturday and beat them in the cup.

My 1st thought was the 3pts on sat cos no matter who wins the other semi they would beat the spurts anyway. However I realised that even by getting to the final it would get them into europe next season & I dont want that either. Think I'll have to abstain on the voting here cos I dont like the alternatives on either voting selection

I'm with Cesc on this one. Why not be greedy and win both?

I do feel a little gutted as a North London derby in a major final is well overdue. However, I'd say most Spuds will be terrified at the prospect of losing to our reserves again!! And if....god forbid....Spuds do win, they can hardly claim "revenge". It is only the kids after all......

The point of this poll is that mike wants you to make a decision

Out of these two pick the draw and win in the cup but of course we will win both
