Arsenal... Federer?
We're Andy Murray. Plays some good shots and all that, but never wins the big trophies and will always be considered the 4th best behind the big guns. If only there was a 4th place trophy for him...?
Sp*rs are Henman. Dream of glory but always fail. There's always next year...

Naaah mate not really...it's just that we're bored shitless and have developed a 7 season, long addiction for knowing we're doomed to sign anyone decent, but keep hoping regardless.mcdowell42 wrote:frankbutcher wrote:Eff off down to twitter shite lane.mcdowell42 wrote:Oh lord someones bored this week

Re: Tennis Players as Football Clubs
Hark at the literary geniuses!
Look it's shit on here these days and i'm trying to add fodder to invite debate good or bad. TBH GoonerEd fucked this place by listening too much to people who didn't even post here. We all know this fact but because the Mods are part of his crew they can't speak out. I know this, you know this, Gooner Ed knows this. We'd be easier off just shutting this place down and at least the Mods who have an addiction to this place can re-build their lives. This place is a bit of fun for most people, but to others it is an existence.
By the way, I know your only winding me up. But I'm not winding you up. Let the Mods set the agenda on here with some interesting threads. To be fair you haven't got the intelligence. All you do is back-bite and belittle people making an effort to get the place going. So come on the baton's been handed over to you. Make me laugh and make me think with what you post.

You've posted an average of 4.72 posts per day over 2 years, so you're certainly one of the more prolific posters on here, frank. Certainly in recent months.frankbutcher wrote:We'd be easier off just shutting this place down and at least the Mods who have an addiction to this place can re-build their lives. In fact, I often find you're on the forum in the daytime and evening, so I consider you one of the "resident" posters... certainly not a casual poster.
It's been said before, but no one is forcing you to post so prolifically, frank. And all this talk of addiction and this place being an "existence" for some people only serves to put the focus back on you, and whether it's a cry for help? after all, it looks to me like your post is inadvertently ridiculing yourself, which is a classic defensive mechanism that could hint at underlying issues.
If that's the case, then perhaps you should start posting a little less and see if that helps? because I fear going cold turkey when the forum was down has left you a little rattled and paranoid.
But the bit that confuses me is that you keep calling for the forum to be shut down...
Surely, if you don't like something to the extent that you'd rather it wasn't here, then you'd just walk away? but you're not. You're as prolific as ever. So either you secretly like the forum (

Anyway, I hope you secretly like the place, because it would be a shame to lose one of our resident posters as you're the lifeblood of the forum.

So either you secretly like the forum () OR... and here's the bit I was eluding to earlier... despite lashing out at others in your post, you're the one who is actually addicted to the forum and is struggling to let go.
Anyway, I hope you secretly like the place, because it would be a shame to lose one of our resident posters as you're the lifeblood of the forum.
