James Ward is probably selling his ticket through the clubs new scheme.
Ticket Exchange (TX) still exists, but now you can sell individual matches to a friend/family that is also a registered member.
Legalised touting is effectively what it is.
The club want you, rather then to pass on your ticket, to sell the ticket to your friends/family via the club. (not TX)
The catch is that each friend or family member will need to be either be a RED or Silver member. (£££)
So there's nothing wrong or stopping James Ward in selling all his games to a registered friend. Done on a game-by-game basis.
This just passes the problem away from ST holders onto those wanting tickets to shell out money for memberships.
The Likelihood is that, like the rest of us, Ward thought "fuck this" and give the physical ticket for £1,300.
