So we CAN sell our season tickets?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Club blatantly knows it goes on. Tbh as long as you aren't touting, I doubt they are bothered

Another stupid PR stunt from the club, giving free 'VIP' tickets to a tennis player, as he couldnt afford to keep his season ticket. FECK ME, I can barely afford my ST, do I get offered free 'VIP' tickets.... Erm no.

James Ward is probably selling his ticket through the clubs new scheme.

Ticket Exchange (TX) still exists, but now you can sell individual matches to a friend/family that is also a registered member.
Legalised touting is effectively what it is.
The club want you, rather then to pass on your ticket, to sell the ticket to your friends/family via the club. (not TX)
The catch is that each friend or family member will need to be either be a RED or Silver member. (£££)

So there's nothing wrong or stopping James Ward in selling all his games to a registered friend. Done on a game-by-game basis.
This just passes the problem away from ST holders onto those wanting tickets to shell out money for memberships.

The Likelihood is that, like the rest of us, Ward thought "fuck this" and give the physical ticket for £1,300.

Under this new scheme where a gold member can transfer his seat to a red member, do you get face value or does the club still take a cut like it did with the ticket exchange?

Basically, what's in it for the club other than to expand the number of red members going to games each season and to shout from the rooftops that it has done so. And have the Club made clear what happens if you just sell your ticket to a non red member or sell it to a red member without using the new scheme?

Interesting precedent to see the club failing to punish the new owner of Ward's season ticket.

So you can't just assign the ticket to a red? They have to buy the ticket through the club which comes.off next years ticket?

Is that right?
