DO WE STILL HATE SPURS

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

DO WE STILL HATE SPURS

Post by REB »

now first of all i wasnt at the chelsea or spurs match but the atmosphere seem bigger and better for the chavs , also the fans and players seem more up for it ,
so has it changed that we now look at the chavs as rivals more then spurs,,

for me the spuds will always be the num 1 team to beat and i was on tenderhooks watching it, but the grove just seem more alive for the chelsea game

is it the league positions or becos people just dont see spurs as a worthy rival any more :?

They never were. Personally it gives me more pleasure seeing us beating the manure.

I'll never hate anybody as much as I do the spuds.

It runs through my veins. Manure have only been rivals for about 15 years and chavski for 4-5. The spuds have always been our biggest enemies and always will be.

I'm old school as well but it's a bit like drugs I suppose, we beat them every time and never finish below them. Where's the fun in that after so many years. I was personally much more up for the Manure and Chavs. It feels like an achievemnet getting something off those 2 but almost a right to take them off the spuds.

Ironically perhaps my feelings would have changed if they beat us yesterday.

Going to say again that we would drive them mad if we ignored them and said we don't consider them rivals anymore.

Agree that there was far more of an edge to the chav game and the atmosphere was better as there is for games against manure but as I'm old school, there's no better feeling than beating the scum. Hating them is as natural as breathing to me, everything from their scabby, mangy bird standing on a pile of shit badge to their fucking hovel of a ground makes me puke.

Of course we hate the spuds, and my grandchildren will hate them and their grandchildren will hate them, its our nature. So what that they are not a threat, keep them down, and kick them while their down. Always remember that while the cream always rises to the top, sometimes the shit does as well.

i can see where everyone is coming from when th chavs are concerned etc
but we hate them for other reasons, mainly because they can take the title instead of us

but for the spuds, they're the spuds and it will always give me pleasure when we beat em...

Personally, no club comes close to the hatred I feel for those lot up the High Road.
I think alot of Gooners take the success we've had against them for granted. Sod's law says one day they'll beat us whether it's deservedly or not and its the thought of that day arriving that makes me so nervous on derby day. They celebrate like theyve won the world cup when they get a point against us and if, heaven forbid, they knock us out kiddies cup we'll never hear the end of it.
Its not just the club I hate but the fans. Never have I seen such a bunch of slimy, moronic, scum bag, bullying c**ts as at that swamp of a ground. And that includes the chavs and mancs. Just writing this is making my blood boil!
Fucking scum, all of them.

I dont think you can judge the level of hatered from these 2 games.
Firtsly the Chelsea game had the A.C. factor and the game itself was thrilling!!
The atmosphere at the tottenham game however suffered because the 1st half was Sh*t!!
It picked up alot in the 2nd half and im sure the 1st half atmosphere would have been as good if the start of the game was rubbish.

In the last 5 years or so NLD's have been the best and most passionate games in the prem.

I have always hated the ****, since the day i was born and i will continue to do so. Its always satisfying to see a victory over manure but id rather beat the spuds!

And as for the chavs, i dont really see that as a rivalry match, weve only seen it as a real big crunch match since they got all there money and became competetive for the title.

Tottenham always will be there bigest rivals for asenal ....
its just the way it is
