Mannone

Post by 1989 »

2 away games 2 clean sheets, who saw that coming? No me neither :D

Should Shezza start worrying over his spot?

Flappy's days are surely numbered now. :barscarf:

Not convinced by mannone at all, but we've defended better as a team so the keeper isn't such a sitting duck these days!

Still, can't knock the lad for coming in and doing a decent job! :barscarf:

Tbf he was fouled a few times on those but that *word censored* Webb was having none of it

Yet when the same happened to Reina near the end he gave a foul even though he was barely touched

The save Vito made from Shelvey's (?) Shot I thought was quality

Speaking of Reina, he's turned into fucking shit

You are joking arent you? Manonne is a mistake wating to happen.Did nothing special today and was poor when high balls were played into the box.Two clean sheets down to the back four being organised.Thought Gibbs had a excellent game, but can he stay fit?

Many positives today but I dont think Mannone was one of them. Couple of times should have claimed simple high balls but didn't. Lucky our centre halves were class

Got the same feeling against Stoke, mistake waiting to happen and fortunately didn't get tested much. Good save from Shelvey and one great punch but repeatedly bottled coming for aerial balls and lacks communication and command of the box. Hope Wenger doesn't make the same mistake he did a few years back and play him too long, ultimately cost us 2 points against West Ham then.

At one stage today he came for a crossed ball that was deflected up into the air around the 6 yard line and as soon as he ran into traffic coming for it he backpeddled as quick as he could onto the goal-line  Fabinski is twice the keeper mannone is so work out for yourselves where that leaves mannone

Think the clean sheets are more to do with defending as a team. Poldolski and ox's work rate and helping out fullbacks was immense today.
Not having Alex Song going walkabout helped

Mannone is dodgy as fuck!! No, in fact he's worse!! He's very much like Flappy, there's a serious error just desperate to come out! The sooner Chezza comes back the better, he's by no means world class but he's the best we have by some distance!

 Flappy is a walking disaster. If we had him playing in those two games we'd have 100% conceded one goal at least, especially at Stoke.

im the person who has not bought into the sczceny fanatisism, if mannone makes less mistakes then sczez he should stay, and sczez makes plenty of mistakes, so yes he should be worried.

Mannone's had a great shot stopping ability but was erractic, if he can rectify that why not. I dont rate sczezny's shot stopping, but we know at arsenal a GK who commands his box is important and that is the one thing woj can do well.

I think the lad had done pretty well, and I hope it continues!
If anything it will keep szczesny on his toes, which can only be a healthy thing in my opinion!

He has done well the last two games, but he has also just done what should be "minimum" requirements from a GK. I hope he comes good though.

It helps when your defence looks a bit more solid ahead of you though, something Szez still has to witness.

He's terrible in the air, the backpeddle back to the goal that Augie mentioned was just plain embarrassing, if he had gone for the ball he would surely have got the foul against him, he also pushed a shot straight back into play in the 2nd half, he is one shit keeper who was baled out by a really good back 4 today.
