First scorer - Each way (?)
Maybe a question for Reb and feel free to basement after a while.
What's the difference (or point!) to a First scorer - each way bet compared to an Anytime bet?
I've worked out that for an each way it's the first 5 goals (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) so should should there be a 6th goal it would be void.
Thinking out loud is that the first 5 goals in the game or for the team?
We were just talking about this at work. Most of us would do a first scorer or possibly an Anytime so can't really see the point of an E/w bet as a first scorer?

6th goal will be loser in the game.
E/W are slightly better place odds than Anytime as it has limit of 5 places.
15/2 1st scorer will become 15/6 place odds or 5/2. Anytime price will be 9/4.

we dont take ew bets on first scorer, in fact no one has ever even asked for it. we do a good few anytime scorer and they are very profitable as the odds are very low and the chance of your player not scoring, injured, been subbed is very high

I see Billy Hill has a new line for scoring 2 or more. Interesting is this.

Is the bet where you have to predict the first goalscorer and correct score called Scorecast? Anyway, I don't think I've met anyone who collected on this. Hard enough get one of them right never mind both.REB wrote:we dont take ew bets on first scorer, in fact no one has ever even asked for it. we do a good few anytime scorer and they are very profitable as the odds are very low and the chance of your player not scoring, injured, been subbed is very high

It's worth a cheeky punt, as an extra bet, if your either doing a first scorer or the final score.

Some of my mates do them. I don't even bother telling them how stupid they are any more.REB wrote:RoscommonGooner wrote:Is the bet where you have to predict the first goalscorer and correct score called Scorecast? never paid out on a scorecastin ladbrokes they biggest scorecast every week is rooney and 2-0 utd but has never come up
"See Rooney to score first and Utd. to win 2-0 is X/1, great bet. Worth a fiver!!" is the kind of shite I hear regularly. To which I now reply, "ya, not bad."

Re: First scorer - Each way (?)
Bad example but tonights game Oxford Vs Swindon.
(Ladbrokes)
Shortest odds for a correct score is a 1-0 away win @ 15/2
The shortest odds for a Swindon player to score first is @ 5/1
So if you were in for either of those it's worth an extra bet, even if it's a quid, as the scorecast is @ 28/1

maybe it was rooney 3-0, i cant really remember tbh , but we get memos telling us to push the scorecast bet as every bookie knows its such a big earner for them.

OK makes sense. Used to be my trade when it was a trade. Just my hobby now
