ASHLEY COLE LEAVING CHAVS

Post by Babatunde »

Ashley Cole has been offered a 'derisory' one year contract at Chelski, it seems as if they are pushing him out of the door and he wants to leave. Now. Bit of a strange one this but question is, would you take him back at Arsenal?
Forget what went on before (if you can) and judge him as a player, and compare to the current dross at left-back.
I think there could only be one answer here...

Sorry, no. Being pragmatic can only go so far in football. It's an emotional game. Cuntley Judas is a dirty judas bastard that betrayed every Gooner alive or dead and a chav now. Fuck him.

Never. 8)

I'll put it in these non-emotional terms DB10 (though I fully take your point on the emotionality of football):

You have a choice of:
- Keiran Gibbs (brittle, cannot defend and never won a thing)
- Andre Santos (eats KFC Bargain buckets on the bench, showers with duck fat)
- Ash Cole (won the lot, bags of PL experience, would make Arsenal fiercer).

You forget he left us cos we wouldn't give him £60k a week, (but we gave Theo this!).
He conducted himself like an arse hole, but is what he did much worse than what many of our current batch have done (Diaby 'I wear a Spud kit' etc)

He's a greedy Judas, but so is Rooney, and our current squad has its fair share of mercenaries.
Personally, I'd take him back.

Some players could never return, he's one of them.

It would kill Gibbs anyway...

Frankly there is only 1 player I'd never have back and that is RVP.
I don't care anymore, I just want Arsenal to have quality players and win a god-dam trophy. Don't care who plays for us.
It's not as if the current crop are saintly and give everything for the shirt - and even when they do, they end up moving anyways!!!

Nasri, Adebayor (yes) and Fabregas I would take every single one of them back because they are quite simply, superior to the options we have in there right now.

Ppl are understandably emotional but if you depart from the viewpoint that ALL players are utter :censored: then it's much better. I feel no attachment to any of the current Arsenal players, Iknow for a FACT that Cazorla will piss off to Barca in a heartbeat if they come calling (he'd fit in well there), Podolski would join Manure tomorrow if he had a good first season. They all bugger off, and we call them ALL c***. Usually though, it's the quality players that bugger off. The shite ones remain.

So if we assume class players are c***, then sod it, if it means Arsenal win a serious trophy then take em back, and that includes Cashley!!!

I take your points Babs, but for me, if we are to be pragmatic for a moment, I would also point out he is on the down slope of his career. Not shit yet certainly, but deffo past his peak. I agree we are weak as fuck at left back but I would look to bring in someone new there – of course Arsene won’t as it will kill Gibbs...

For me he was as guilty as the Board for the manner of his leaving. Yes they fucked up over the £5K a week, but the dirty little Judas kúnt was touting himself on the sly to the chavs.

The fact that other players are mercenary kúnts doesn’t excuse Cuntley for me. I wish ALL mercenary kúnts were gone from the club but that isn’t going to happen either unfortunately.

Still a big NO for me.

I would NEVER take him back, and not just because of what he did to us. He's not as good as he used to be, but still better than what we have. However, I think Kieran Gibbs is playing well at the moment and I think we should give him a chance.

I would sign up but we need to be careful that he hasn't already swerved his car off the road following that derisory offer.

You sign players that improve your squad and are winners. Almost 100 caps, EC winner (which pleased many a British Bulldog on here), multiple PL and FA Cup winner......and still a bloody brilliant full back.

Yes I would sign him. He is a complete tossbag off the field but unlike pricks like Tevez he has never let it affect him on the pitch

The point is moot for Arsenal as he wants 120 k a week and a 3 year contract !
The wages alone are too much for us let alone the term.

We could do with him though !

Completely agree with you Baba, except I just can't remove the emotion from my supporting of Arsenal. So even if he's better than we have, I couldn't.
