Non-League Day this week-end

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Non-League Day this week-end

Post by NonLeagueDay »

No Arsenal this weekend, so why not go and see your local team?

'because non-league football is rubbish' i hear you say ... well yes but sometimes its pretty good (see youtube link). Plus you get the added bonus of players/referees actually being able to hear the abuse you're dishing out from the stands.

Its pay what you like this Saturday at Wingate and Finchley FC!

Its a good idea. I go a few times each season to my local non league club and its a good afternoon out, nothing like the buzz of Arsenal but it scratches and itch so to speak. My local team is away this weekend though

Going to Yate Town FC, that'll be depressing, and watching Bristol Rovers just as bad.

Maidenhead United are offering half price admission to anyone who presents an ST or used ticket stub for any PL or championship club.

NL Day is a great idea as so many of today's generation think supporting a team just means buying a replica shirt and subscribing to sky sports!

I try and take my little boy over to Dartford FC whenever I can. He loves it - they have had four promotions over the last few years and are now flying high in the conference. It's a cracking little ground, with a good atmosphere and the boy loves it that you can meet the players in the bar after. And it only costs £13 for both of us to get in!! That's less then a single kids ticket at The Grove!!!!!
