Schalke Away match thread

Post by SteveO 35 »

Oh good, we've got an exciting CL group stage game to look forward to. That'll get the juices flowing

Can someone wake me up when our next important game against Bradford comes round

Bore off

The sooner we're out of this competition the better - its the biggest smokescreen over the demise of the club. Remove it and everyone will see the modern Arsenal for what they are

Oh dear! I have finally succumbed to steve0's point of view. Caved in to being a realist perhaps?
Watch Schalke put us away, big time, if today's performance is anything to go by.
Utd didn't have to break sweat today, and the German's will show us up to be what we really are. Pretenders.

We must experience pain in order to see change though. Defeat here will turn up the heat even further & I fully expect Fulham to take at least a point off us next Saturday...

Our best performances this season have been away from home (the wins at Anfield & Upton Park, the draw at Citeh). We've been shit scared of Utd for years now, so I don't take todays performance as the new norm....

I fancy us to win 2-1..... :barscarf: ! Remember that one of our greatest ever results 5-1 in the San Siro against Inter Milan, came after we had lost 0-3 at home against them. Both games were in the oh so boring group stage of the Champions League of course..... 8) !

if Ox is fit and AW has the guts and sense to drop Ramsay and Santos - we'll draw or win 1-0.

i reckon seeing santos out of the corner of their eye puts the fear or god in to TV and Per and that's why they keep falling over or fucking up.

with Ramsay and santos playing - easy 2-0 to Schalke or maybe 3-1 as santi will get space.

THIS is a game i'd play 4-5-1 with Theo upfront alone.

i'd rather see Jenko play on the 'wrong' side than Santos. :censored:

Thanks for proving my point about the Group stage by going back 9 years in history to a time when the seedings actually paired us with a team worth watching i.e. Inter Milan.

Its been constant excitement in the groups since then hasn't it

Despite the result today, I can't wait to go to Gelsenkirchen next week! :barscarf:
Does anyone know a good place to drink some beer before the game?

It's wrong that I now care about LC games more than CL.
