What should happen to Serbia ?

What should happen to Serbia ?

Post by SteveO 35 »

Today is UEFA's disciplinary hearing into the appalling scenes in Serbia for the England U-21 last month

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... erbia.html

The FA are quite rightly pushing for the strongest possible action to be taken if they are found guilty.

What do you think should happen to them if they are found guilty and what do you think will happen?

Personally I think they should be chucked out of all European competitions for 5 years. What do I think will happen - a fine and maybe 3 or 4 games played at neutral venues or behind closed doors.

I'll happily eat my words if UEFA grow a pair and impose some form of onerous punishment on the Serbs- but I'm not holding my breath

Should be banned from all international football for 2 tournaments but wont be, they probably get a £5,000 fine and have to play two U-21 games behind closed doors

I think they should be sent to Kuta Kinabalu and go to an Orangutang sanctuary and be forced to clean their shit for a month !

Then they will find that Apes object to being linked with human beings as they rightly point out they only want to shag and eat fruit !

It happens all the time and it's only because England are now viewed across Europe as 'troublemakers' for having the temerity to complain when they encounter this kind of thing. UEFA is a corrupt organisation crammed full of scummy wankers in grey suits that take no action whatsoever all year other than taking about half of the tickets for the CL final away from genuine fans. They literally are the worst kind of people.

It's obvious that a disgraceful incident like this added to their track record and aggravating factors should result in a ban from official competitions. Instead they'll play their remaining 2 or 3 home games behind closed doors and have a super fine of about £30,000.

Haven't they just been charged with 'crowd disturbances' in their qualifier against Wales in September? :rubchin:

They should have their record expunged and be expelled from this qualifying process as a bare minimum (and not just because they put 6 past Wales!), and if UEFA want to be serious about racism then 2016 WC Qualifying too.

This ^ x 100. It is a disgrace that uefa fine the worlds greatest danish striker ( ) more for displaying paddy power boxers than they did for a country that spewed racist crap at a game  If uefa/fifa want people to take the anti racism campaign seriously then they need to lay down a serious marker.....ban them for 3 tournaments and reduce it to two on appeal

Agree that they ought to be banned for a few years, but we know UEFA don't have the balls for it. Prove me wrong though, it's time an example was set.

Breaking news: UEFA have postponed the hearing until December 13 :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Just enough time for the Serbs to put together some more unfounded counter claims before handing them a 100k fine

SteveO they don't want to make a rash decision like fining the lovely Serbian FA £40k instead of £30k.

On a serious note it's quite possible that these "further investigations" are into the wrongdoings (HA) of Danny Rose and co. Disgusting.

That's my fear - this is all to do with these bullshit claims brought about by the Serbs. How can they possibly claim Rose instigated all this shit?

There will now be two fines handed out - one for the English FA of around 50k for some sort of contrived nonsense along the lines of 'failing to control our players' and a slightly bigger one (70-80k) for the Serbs for what will no doubt be described as a 'couple of isolated incidents'

If these fuckers escape a ban then frankly the anti-racism groups are fighting a losing battle. What John Terry did was wrong but for me thousands of idiots being allowed to continually get away with this sort of behaviour (hardly Serbia's first incident) is 1000x worse

That twat Peter Herbert could actually make himself useful and spend his time lobbying UEFA rather than pissing everybody off here. The guy obviously dedicates loads of time to his media campaign, and what is a bigger problem: Spurs fans' use of the word **** or the fact that young British players are regularly forced to play games whilst being subjected to appalling philistine abuse with no meaningful repercussion or disincentive? For me the latter, by a long long way.

Might be a little bit more difficult on the legal point of view because UEFA aren't subject to the ECHR but they do have to answer to the EU, particularly given that the TFEU has a specific article on sport.
