For those not following the match tonight...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

For those not following the match tonight...

Post by Rob Admin »

I've seen that a number of forum members have given up on even following games this season. It's less stressful and it's perversely therapeutic because you won't have your day/night/weekend ruined when you watch the drivel that passes for Arsenal at the moment. I've not followed any games since Shalke away (only saw the Spurs result just before MOTD so I'm really doing this) and aside from the 2nd half of Everton I've managed to abstain.

So if you're avoiding the game tonight what are you doing instead. I can't choose between making some cup-cakes and watching and go for the a walk in the pissing rain.

Rob.

I'll be honest and say that if there was anything still at stake in the dortmund v citeeh game then chances are I might have watched that or possibly the ajax v madrid game (but only if I thought that madrid would lose cos I hate that moaninho c**t   ). Thing is that we dont close our shop here until 9pm so I have plenty of work to keep me occupied if I am determined not to watch it but the problem with that is that my boys always want me to watch the Arsenal games with them and I have to do my best to keep them onside and part of the Gooner family 8)

Tough dilema with the kids, you've got to keep them interested in Arsenal and lead by example. I feel for you!

Will have it on in the background, I hope we win (of course), but will be spending the evening searching for new music.

No doubt will girlfriend will question my ability to multitask and ask to watch Masterchef, depending on the score I may just let her!!

I've got to watch the drivel no matter what. Going to watch the game in the cafeteria at work right now. Last time I was there watching Arsenal was when we got pumped 4-0 by AC. My co-workers heard a lot of expletives.

Usually listen to the 2nd half on the radio after the lunch break.

COYG (regardless of your form)

The only thing that makes me sick is that I don't mind losing, because I feel like it gives us a chance to possibly get a new manager with a new outlook sooner... =\

Sorry Rob, but fair weather supporters we can do without..... Turning up at games & voicing your feelings would be good, or joining the protest but not going to the game. But not looking out for results or refusing to watch us on tv (albeit I can understand not watching tonight)..? Why not go the whole hog & give up posting on a fans forum as well....?

God forbid if you were a Barnet FC supporter or a team of that sorts

I've not been alive long enough to support The Arsenal like most of you old buggers here lol  (I was 21 on Sunday) but I know we've gone through rougher patches than this and many a fan stuck to the rafters!

You can't just tag out when things don't go our way!

If we won something this season or went on a storming run of results would you suddenly jump back on and lea the celebration?

Make cupcakes, you can lick the bowl out afterwards and then eat the cupcakes.
