Suggestions for away pubs @ Chelski

Post by goonerthorpe »

Hi all,

I am new (as you can tell). I'm looking for a pub near chelsea, where most of the gooners are likely to be on sunday. I have heard that victoria wetherspoons could be an option. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks guy

I've heard the blue oyster bar on the Fulham road is where it's at. They're very friendly in there.

Careful though, apparently it's frequented by a few hard nuts....

Paul on the Fulham Road does a very nice pain au chocolat. Unfortunately they had sold out of prawn sandwiches the last time I was there.

Yes -- most Arsenal will be at Victoria Wetherspoons which is not bad, opens at 8 and Arsenal are welcome even after last year

Some of us are starting at Putney Bridge, then going Earl's Court and Victoria. There will be some Arsenal fans drinking at all three, but I'd recommend Victoria. The tube journey from Victoria to FB is always mental

I need to be at the ground for 12:30 to collect tickets.
My train gets into Marylebone at 11am. Shame I can't get to Victoria in that time for a few beers. Guess il have to find a pub near Marylebone to drink on my own before getting the tube to Fulham broadway.

Anyone able to give me any ideas?!

Anyone know of any pubs nearer the ground than Victoria?
I am collecting tickets about 11:45 ish so too late to jump back on the tube to Victoria but too early to go into the ground.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
