Chesney talks in riddles

Chesney talks in riddles

Anyone want to help me with this. It's not the defence's fault or indeed anyone else's but it's not fair somehow. :? :? :? :?

"Wojciech Szczesny: In training Arsenal look as good as any side in Europe" hahahahahahahha

They must play plenty of 11 v 11 teams in training. I'm not surprised they look like the best team in Europe when our first team squad play 3 training matches a week against Mannone, Meade, Miquel, Squillaci, Santos, Eastmond, Akpom, Rosicky, Arshavin, Gnabry and Gervinho.

Had great faith in him initially...finally the ''proper'' keeper we've been waiting for.. Rapidly changing my mind...huge ego, technical flaws and,I fear, a Flappy/Waiter in the making. Sincerely hope I'm wrong but he needs some proper coaching/support/competition imho

He's been well coached in the Wenger/Gazidis/Arsenal art of talking bullshit, passing the blame & trying to spin everything in a positive light.

I play indoor footy on a Saturday and outdoor proper footy on a Sunday. Last couple of games we looked as good as any side in Europe. You'd swear you were watching Barcelona. Albeit a Barcelona made up of blokes in their late 30's and early 40's.

Chesney, you say it best when you say nothing at all. You dizzy twat.

If we don't bring any experienced competition/back up in for him as it could "stunt" his growth and/or dis-hearten him then fine, keep him as number one on the condition we bring in a goalkeeping coach who instantly demands respect from people, someone who knows how to boss a defence about and can pass that experience to young Sneezy. I can think of two prime candidates -

1) Jens Lehmann

2) Olvier Kahn

Two men who demand respect and have earned their respect in the game for their achievement. I would lie to see Lehmann or Kahn take Sneezy under their wing and mold him into a general at the back who strikes fear into OUR players as well as the opposition.

We have more chance of Lehmann being asked to do something in the future.

Kahn will never happen but one can dream.

With his age and experience now there's really not a lot for him to be "coached" at. I still think Szczesny might turn out to be a very good keeper but I'm not of the opinion that it will kill him to bring in a genuine contender.

He is far from good enough that he should be assured the no.1 jersey for years to come. Give him some actual competition and see if he sinks or swims. At the very least it should stop all his fucking round on AFC features and constantly losses of focus and concentration during games. How switched on would you be if you knew that your closest competitor was Mannone?

Lehmann is at the club on a part-time basis, we have more World Class players coaching and training with us than we do in the squad :D

I wonder if he's now dropped himself from that "best team in training"?

He's the best keeper in the world in training so I doubt it. Those little drag backs work every time

Can't kick out a ball, he's like Dracula with crosses, tries Cryuff turns with the ball on his goal line and his distribution is appalling.

Of course with zero pressure on his position from dross like Flappy and Vito and a Turnip in charge who can blame him?

Used to be confident and assertive. Had good decision-making and came for crosses well.

Now he's arrogant, reckless and unreliable. Hares out of his box at any opportunity, fucks around EVERY SINGLE GAME with the ball at his feet and any time a cross comes in he just closes his eyes and sticks his arm out.

What does it tell you about the state of this squad that this keeper is under no pressure whatsoever for his position and that a new keeper is generally regarded as a priority lower than striker, left-back, DM and centre-half?

That has been very worrying lately - I thought he might have learned from doing it at the Bridge recently but last night when he came haring out to Henderson his judgment was miles off. Terrible decision making. He really needs a kick up the arse but with Flapper and Mannone-kokey he knows he's safe as houses
