As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Jamie Carragher. Last of his type?
A one club man. The old romantic in me harks back to Tony Adams.
Have we witnessed the last of this type of loyal football player?
I hope that our Jackie will keep the trend going, but I am not certain.
Carragher has been mostly, an outstanding player for Liverpool FC.
I would like to think that Arsenal will produce other talented and committed players in the future, to emulate the scouse git.
I honestly have an immense amount of respect for the guy. Fantastic servant to the club, I wish we had someone like that at our club now but we don't like players who are over 30.
Unless Of course your shit and earn high wages and couldn't give a fuck about the arsenal!

Then that's ok
Agree totally with you buddy Like him or loathe him, you cannot help but respect him for the 100% commitment he gave to his club every single day and even when he played lately that passion shone out the same as it did 10 years ago
Whenever I hear his name I just think back to "that game" at Anfield when he was repeatedly skinned by Henry.... Some of the media said he was finished after that game so he's done well to play on for so many years since.

Absolutely, his pace and judgement went a fair few years back so it's only by virtue of his professionalism, dedication and all-round attitude (plus their aversion to building a good football team in recent years) that he has been retained by Liverpool.
Was never a great defender imo. Should not even be mentioned in the same breath as our Tone. The only thing they have in common is that they`re both one-club men.
A shit player and a loathsome scouse *word censored* .
Plenty more of them on Merseyside but at least you knew he wasn't doing your house over whilst he was on the pitch !
