The bin dippers left winger (ivy I think) is tearing us a new one  Has to be said, they are way better than us so far - we are putting them under no real pressure when they have the ball. If this is the future then don't expect this team to break our trophyless run

Eisfeld and Gnarbry don't seem too shabby

But are they super quality like Eastmond and Watt? :rubchin: - after all, if you're going to stay at Arsenal until you're 22-23yrs of age, that's the level these youngsters have to aspire to...

Also,I know it's gone now,but I never saw the merit in playing "Reserve" games on a pitch with a slope like that!

This wasn't live was it? Was it a repeat of the game the other day?

If it ended 1-1 with the dippers getting a goal in the 90th min then it was a repeat of a Friday game.

Seems you are right 8)

Said it previously but that ivy fella destroyed our right back  I am a firm believer that results are of secondary importance to developing young players but surely we had another defender on the bench that might have stopped the scouse winger ?

Stop being silly.

A change like that would involve a tactical change and that would be off message as far as our grand Poobah is concerned so Gatting doesn't do anything so silly either.

Wenger is to blame because Gatting didn't make a sub
in an U21s game
for an unspecified imaginary right back...

seems reasonable

The right back in question is Hector Bellerin. Some Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying we should sell Sagna and replace him with this kid, no new right back needed...

Clueless.

Bellerin is an excellent prospect but his biggest strengths are going forward
don't think it's clueless to expect Jenks and him to play RB next season

Selling Sagna is just the latest in a long line of inevitable mistakes. Jenkinson is not ready to be first choice over a 50+ game season, and Bellerin even less ready to be his replacement

We thought having Eboue as Sagna's back up was a poor option, but Bellerin behind Jenkinson.....fuck me, never let it said we're dumbing down the squad eh?

What is the right word then cos without a doubt it would be a decision/judgement that would lift even wenker up to a new and higher level of stupidity than even I thought possible    I ain't dead against the kid and maybe down the line he will be a good player but today he got absolutely raped by the dippers winger and that suggests to me that he isn't ready for the reserves much less be a back up to jenks

he was brilliant v Inter (admittedly one of the only times I've seen him play this season)
IMO some of our main fullback failings, have been quality in the final third - that he definitely has
he's an amazing athlete, to some extent reminds me of Ca$hley
I see him as a potential superstar and think game time is necessary for his development

if we could get Bac to sign an extension that would be perfect, can't see it happening
and in that case the logical next step is: sell Sagna and play the existing backups
there aren't many brilliant rightbacks available anyway - I like Jenks and Bellerin
personally think they should be given a chance rather than gambling in the transfer market

we have major holes that far more desperately need filling - at RB we have readymade replacements
