Player of the season ?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Player of the season ?

Post by Peeman »

http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archiv ... n-vote-now

It's time to pick your EA SPORTS Player of the Season and stake your claim for our amazing prize!

As ever, there are plenty of candidates for the official Club prize.

Tomas Rosicky, Laurent Koscielny and Mikel Arteta all finished in the top five of last year's poll, but will they challenge this time around?

Santi Cazorla has enjoyed a revelatory debut season in English football while Theo Walcott broke the 20-goal barrier for the first time. Will they get your vote?

How about Per Mertesacker, a reassuring presence at the back? Or Aaron Ramsey, who worked tirelessly in front of him?

Jack Wilshere could be in the frame after making a successful return from injury. And further forward two more debutants shone - Olivier Giroud led the line well while Lukas Podolski scored some spectacular goals.

Who will get YOUR vote?

Choose your EA SPORTS Player of the Season at the bottom of this page.

One lucky voter will win the chance to present the winner with his award before an Arsenal home game PLUS two tickets to that match PLUS a Playstation 3.

We will reveal the top five in reverse order from Monday, May 27.

The deadline for votes is 10am on Friday, May 24.

No real stand out player for me. Probably be Cazorla. Might consider spoiling my vote and putting in Arshavin or Santos coz it really has been a season of average performances.

I suppose Yankee will be voting for Ramsey and Augie will be voting for Wally

Was thinking of voting for somebody like flaps but would it really matter ? At the end of the day the AFC pr machine will spin this into a wonderful achievement as either Wally or cazorla is declared as our player of the season

You can put your house on it  Who votes in these things ? Kids ? Foreign (not Irish fans  ) fans ? Akb ? These are all the type of fans that buy into club hype and god knows Wally is the main benefactor from that so my money is on him to win it :( Previous winners like Cesc, Henry, rvp and the great Bergkamp must be absolutely honoured at the thought of brainless wally joining their elite group

Done, voted Andre Santos for trying to swap shirts with the dutch *word censored* at half time couldnt help but add that we were shit for large parts of this year in what has been the worst premier league in recent memory.

Cant see myself being winning the prize of giving the award to the most voted player though somehow. :D

I think Arteta has had a lesser season than last season, has struggled at times.

Predictable anti-Walcott sentiment from others but he has got 20 goals from wide right (mainly) which is not bad at all, 40 games and 14 assists.
