Suarez wants to leave Liverpool

Luis Suarez has confirmed he wants to leave Liverpool. Says it's for family reasons and blames the press treatment he has received . It offers him a nice get out clause/excuse to leave an underachieving club . He has been targeted by the press but when you racially abuse, admit to diving and bite opponents then expect a bit of bad press. No doubt the story will be spun as a victimisation of a foreign Liverpool player, but maybe it is Suarez who wants to leave for actual football reasons. Signing Kolo Toure hardly send out a big signal of ambition.

I think it's fair to say, although many would like to disagree and this forum in particular has its fair share of cynics, that football fans are generally both naive and fickle.

And Liverpool fans are the worst of the lot. I know people that used to bash on about Torres loving the club since childhood (many based on some photoshopped images of him at Atletico). Lol. All you need to do is put "YNWA" or "JFT96" at the end of a tweet or deliver the rights lines about history, tradition, etc in a Liverpool TV interview and the fans are convinced that you're one of them and would die for the club.

Unfortunately instead of realising what mugs they are for thinking that a devious little twat like Suarez would stay to battle for 7th with Swansea and West Brom out of sheer love for the club and the fans when he could go to a club capable of winning the CL, they've got a ready-made excuse that in fact he left because of the media bullying and not because their club is barely treading water.

Exactly - there was a journo on Sky the other day saying much the same thing and he made a joke of the fact that no doubt the Mickeys fans would be blaming the media when he leaves because clearly biting an opponent and making racist remarks to a fellow professional were the creation of the media

Well to be fair the best ones that have left recently, ronaldo, cesc, suarez probably support those teams as they are either directly from those countries, neighbouring countries or latin american countries so you can understand it really.

Who wouldn't be tempted by two of the biggest clubs in the world and swapping hard damp miserable winters for far milder ones when in the summer it is just that, summer as opposed to our 3 month august, 1 month spring/summer and 8 month winter.....saying that it's sunny outside

This. He obviously wants to leave because 1) Real Madrid are much bigger than Liverpool 2) He wants to play in the Champions League and, most importantly, 3) Real Madrid will pay him more money. His pathetic whinging about the media is unbelievable, it's not as if the media are targeting him for no reason, he's a vile, racist, cheating little *word censored* who goes around biting people, of course people are reporting that he might be a bit of a prick. Still, for some reason he feels the need to keep the fucking Scousers on side and this offers him the perfect get out, he can fuck off for more money and CL football at Madrid and the LFC fans can keep on thinking they're the victims and that he's only going because of the press.

I always find it strange that PL clubs don't tell their players not to give interviews back in their homelands. It's like they think that they can say what they want and it won't get back to England.

I can only imagine the endless months of whining when Suarez does eventually leave. The Scousers will start another "don't buy the Sun" campaign.......after all its the media's fault isn't it ? I'm sure the media were to blame for making all the players wear a Suarez T-shirt in the next match after he racially abused Evra before the facts of the story had been revealed
