Who needs to step up the most next season?

Post by spendsum4uckingmoney »

IMO I think it has to be Wilshere and Sagna.

Sagna had a poor season by his standards, but he is still a solid RB. Wilshere had an ok return for somebody who spent over a year injured but we played much better when he was out of the team whichs ays something. This year though he will have a pre season, which will hopefully make the difference.

I'd like to Schez step it up a bit too. His shot stopping is fine but his distribution has been beyond awful. Probably the worst kicker in the league. Every match he will kick the ball out of touchline atleast once.

Giroud will again be leading the attack so for me it's the season he has to deliver goals very regularly.

I dont think Giroud or Gervinho can step up. I think this is the maximum of their ability.

Nah, there's no way he'll keep Higuan out of the team

Very much depends who we bring in. If we somehow commit the cardinal sin of going into next season with Giroud as our #1 striker then he undoubtedly needs to improve significantly. Likewise with Szczesny.

Although tbh if we don't buy either of those positions then we can write the season off now.

Thomas Vermaelen (if he's still with us!) needs to step up after first remembering how to defend again, as I believe he could still do it, also the Ox if he's given more game time, and Wilshere will be fine if he stays fit (?????).

I think Verm is past it. The injury seems to have taken half a yard out of his game. He wasnt impressive the season before either. TBH I think hes a pretty meh defender. Good footballer average centre back.

I would seriously love Walnutt to have a bale type season where nobody can get near him and he puts the shits into the opposition,mi fed up with seeing him start a mazy run only to be brushed aside or run into a blind alley, despite this at least he's effective where it really counts,i just wish he would become the complete player

It would also be nice, on the occasions that he throws the ball out he does it to our player, rather than the opposition.

Or is that too much to ask.
