What do you make of this?
After AG's snitch by text service, the Kick It Out group have now released a mobile app for reporting abuse.

I'm not in anyway advocating racism, sexism or any of those other -ism's but it feels like society is moving more and more towards this grassing up mentality. If I see or hear someone saying something out of place at footy I generally just tend to think they're a bit of a knob, I don't feel obliged to report them to the authorities. Is that just me?
Surely there are gonna be people who can take offence at almost anything people say. What I might not consider offensive, someone else might and grass me up as a result?
Opens a can of worms this I think...

Most people will either say nothing or have a word with someone who is winding them up.
You can always have a word with a steward too.
Small amount of people would use an app or a text service.
The method of reporting is irrelevant to me, it all comes down to whether a steward decides one way or the other or calls the police.

Re: What do you make of this?
Whilst the principle of the app is admirable, surely it's open to abuse itself. Drunk mates using it as a joke, a pissed off fan sitting in the same row as someone who continually gets up and goes for food during matches and how about fans just fed up with telling someone else just to sit down.
It'll cause more trouble than it is worth and won't wean out those who are racial, sectarian, homophobic abusive towards players.

Re: What do you make of this?
More busy-body waffle designed to look nice rather then actually achieve anything. So we report it to kick it out who then talk to the club? Why not just report it to the club, cut out the middle man or better yet, the police? Do I report the old blokes sat behind me who slag off "French Africans" and if I do does Clarke Carlisle appear in the bat mobile? I will doff my cap if this app is responsible for bringing justice in one case of proper abuse.
But whatever, these groups like to be seen to be doing "something" and since this is highly unlikely to effect me they can make all the apps they like.

BBC reported the news along some comments from Emily Davison complaining about lack of diversification in football and expressly stating we should give preference to ethnic minority candidates for jobs in football.

"Play like a girl" and "you're gay"?

Spade and shitstabber aren't on there so presumably they still fly

Also "man up" is absolutely ridiculous.

I'm amazed "man up" is on their list... is that offensive to anyone?

Also, considering it's Liverpool, why hasn't Suarez' favourite word for Evra made the list?

I tried but couldn't make anything at all out of it.
Should have paid more attention when Magpie was on.

One presumes new FA Chairman Greg Dyke will be barred from visiting them?
I also guess that Liverpool's fixture list will have to spell Manchester United, if they put Man U it will look like someone has literally taken the p.
