Sanogo scores a hat-trick, Higuain misses a penalty and gets sent off.

Arsene doubters left with egg on face.

:barscarf:

But seriously I think we'll either win or draw. Losing to Napoli, after the Higuain saga, would a bit embarrassing.

I fear the stadium today will be more full of Wenger worshippers than it normally is so I reckon if there is any abuse being dished out it will be directed at Higuain ... for having the temerity of not being someone Wenger was willing to spend money on.

Am I the only one who doesn't want us to fail this weekend? :o

I hope we play well and win. Regardless of signings, I want us to hit the ground running this season so I'm hoping for a confident, goalscoring display from Giroud, Theo & Podolski; quality and creativity from Cazorla, Wilshere and Chamberlain; a confident, assured display from Chesney, and solid performances at the back and from Arteta and Ramsey in midfield would be good to see too. 8)

Also interested to see what Higuain is like.

Wouldn't mind seeing Sanogo too.... Wenger seems to rate him VERY highly after yesterday's bizarre comments. :?

g88ner I don't think it'll have much bearing on the start of our season - teams have had very underwhelming pre-seasons then gone on to start fantastically and others have had very strong pre-seasons and started terribly.

Sadly, I think you are absolutely right.

True, but momentum can only help. And players like Theo and Giroud seem very much form players so I'd rather they were confident and banging in goals.

Momentum is not always a good thing.
