Re: Members Day 2013
The true story of a mate who took his 5 yr old son to members day, wenger walked over the pitch and asked his son "how are you young man, are you enjoying your day?"
without hesitation the 5 yr old kid replied "when are you going to spend some money and buy some players wenger?"
wenger immediatley stormed off without replying to the kid
charming arrogance

Flash - I'm under no illusions that members day is for the kids, and as a mum I took my daughter and she enjoyed it!

I went once, it was the dullest thing ever.
Good for the kids or if you get off on watching Theo and Ramsey play ping pong I guess.

Re: Members Day 2013
Been a few times.
The first one at the new stadium was a good chance to check out the stadium.
Following year interesting to watch the training, players under age 21 doing mainly aerobic work, those over 21 doing more weight bearing exercises and some interesting pilates style push ups by Gilberto, alternate legs raised...hard to do and good for core strength.
Another year had older players involved in a Q&A, think it was Charlie George, Sammy Nelson and Bob Wilson, interesting to see and hear them.
It is a good trip for families during the summer holidays.

You usually don't need prompting

Re: Members Day 2013
Went for the first time and thought in general it was a decent bit of PR by the club and a reasonably good day out for a family with Arsenal-mad kids.
However it was rather special for us. My son was incredibly lucky to be one of the Junior Gunners picked to play on the pitch against the first team and as you can imagine it was the most amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience for him.
Some nice pics on the Junior Gunners Facebook page - my son was wearing the number 25 shirt.
