best Sperz squad I've ever seen
Tiny Totts have always had a sprinkling of good players dragged down by nomarks
for every Linker there's a Durie, for every Campbell an Edinburgh, Hoddle a Howells
but now not only do they have a decent manager
they have an excellent squad - they're shipping out Huddlelump and old man Parker
and bringing in quality. Have to hope this money is being spent in preparation for a Bale sale
I'd take every single Sperz squad player at Arsenal - they would all improve us
that has never been the case ever before in my life

A touch of hyperbole but I think you have a point - they have recruited very well, and without the Champions League money we've had for over a decade.
My concern is that they are holding up a mirror to us and we look fucking amatuerish at present. Wanger has allowed star players to leave and replaced them with no-marks, has beens and average, overpaid dross. This transfer window has been an unmitigated disaster and we have become a laughing stock.
I can handle rolling over for United, I can accept being out bid by Chelsea, I can accept City signing the world and his wife but I cannot accept these pricks overtaking us.
I hope to Christ that Wanger feels the same, because he is really plumbing new depths of gross incompetence right now.

If they keep Bale they will finish above us. End of.
How did it come to this? Wenger has a shitload to answer for.

Red Gunner you just can't analyse squads by going through players and just making one rash call as to who is a better player. It's not going to give you an accurate representation.

what system are you suggesting, northbank?northbank123 wrote:Red Gunner you just can't analyse squads by going through players and just making one rash call as to who is a better player. It's not going to give you an accurate representation.

You could rate every player out of 100 for super quality, outstanding belief, mental strength and sideways-passability (Bale fair very poorly in this vital area

I'll let you run the numbers and post the ultimate Arsenal:Sp*rs team. You may also want to add double points if a players wages outstrip their contribution (this is where the Bendtner/Park/Diaby 'top trump' card can be played

On a lighter note, spurs fans seem pleased to have a couple of big red A's on the front of their new shirts;

IF they keep bale it will be a very strong squad, if not then I can't see it being any better than ours tbh
