Weekend's other games
Weekend's other games
So whilst a gooner im also a bit of a football tragic. Just watching Liverpool v Stoke and I really don't rate Rodgers - do you think Swansea got lucky he left meaning Laudrup is now there? I think Liverpool would be thinking we would love a manager swap.

Damn it, just heard that Walters missed an 89th minute penalty at Anfield

Re: Weekend's other games
Victims scrape a win against relegation contenders Stoke at home and their fans have already started calling them top 4 contenders

Re: Weekend's other games
Double save. Both keepers did well on debut. Liverpool were only just ok, nothing more nothing less but Courtinho is class.g88ner wrote:Damn it, just heard that Walters missed an 89th minute penalty at Anfield![]()

Result was fine by me. I want Stoke to go down, and it's not as if Liverpool are going to be winning the league any time soon.

Nice to see van Staplecunt has scored a brace today - sold for footballing reasons was he?
Re: Weekend's other games
United look deep in crisis with this new bloke (who will never be good enough to manage Arsenal apparently) in charge
Re: Weekend's other games
Blimey, I wouldn't give Moyes that much credit, Steve0SteveO 35 wrote:United look deep in crisis with this new bloke (who will never be good enough to manage Arsenal apparently) in charge

Don't you think any compotent manager would be able to do okay with a squad that has only just runaway with last season's title?
Personally, I'm leaving any judgement on Moyes/United a little longer than a 4-1 opening day victory with someone else's squad of players. He hasn't stamped his mark on it yet.
Although, for the record, I see no reason why he can't do a good job.

I'd still take Moyes over the useless arsehat we're lumbered with at the moment.
Re: Weekend's other games
I'm not really giving him the credit but many a poster on here was going on about United 'really struggling' this season and much has been made of it in the media too. They will still finish 20 points ahead of usg88ner wrote:Blimey, I wouldn't give Moyes that much credit, Steve0SteveO 35 wrote:United look deep in crisis with this new bloke (who will never be good enough to manage Arsenal apparently) in charge- it's Fergie's team, surely?

Lord Cuntybollocks himself was quoted before the season as saying that we would benefit from the stability of no change in manager. So just Chelsea and City to get off to fucking awful starts now then.....

United will be top 3 regardless. I think those 3 clubs are miles ahead of the pack.SteveO 35 wrote:I'm not really giving him the credit but many a poster on here was going on about United 'really struggling' this season and much has been made of it in the media too. We're fucked as it stands - thin squad, tactically inept manager. Only world class players (or Wenger walking away) can save our season from being the same old top 4 bollocks as always.
