Summer transfer window

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Are we surprised?

Can't wait to see Draxler in a Chelsea or City shirt next season after a stormer of a world cup. Add him to Arsene's ever growing list of virtual signings.

From his comments it's like he expects clubs to ring him up asking him to buy their quality players at knock-off prices. How is he going to sign players when there is a World Cup on?

Most likely he'll make the excuse of the inevitable player fatigue and inflated prices to go shopping in the Ligue Deux market again.

Just in case you needed reminding of The Wise One's comments after the last world cup

http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... r-signings

"The World Cup will not affect our recruitment," he said. "It is dangerous to buy on the back of a World Cup. The prices are artificial and you have to bear in mind that anyone can have three weeks of glory
