Suarez did have a min fee release

Post by spendsum4uckingmoney »

Really interesting. Well I guess that is 1 thing we cant blame AW for. It does seem bizzare that this clause, which Suarez thought was binding, to be just ignored.

I don't get it. I thought the PFA had a look at his contract and confirmed it wasn't binding? If it was surely Suárez would've taken them to court.

We must be the only club that fails to sign a player even after meeting their strict buy out clause. When Henry said we can't have Suárez we just accepted it and moved on instead of being ruthless and pushing for the deal to happen whatever way it took. Spineless on and off the pitch.

If we had Suarez we would be 12 points ahead atleast.

If he had signed for us we would be exactly the same position as he would have been injured for about 3 months.

Yeah, Suarez would have been some player under Wenger.

Sorry, that should be "just some player".

Suárez would've won us the league AND weakened one of our rivals. But Wenger refused to go the extra mile, as always.

Wenger would have played Suarez wide on the left instead of Podolski and kept Giroud down the middle

Insult or not is irrelevant in this case though Flash. He either had a min fee clause or he didn't.

Bollocks. John W Henry is just trying to make himself more popular and make him seem like a powerful businessman - just like his whole "what are they smoking" tweet. Seems like a lot of insinuation to me just to big himself up.

Either that or he is genuinely being a complete idiot and is admitting to a major and fundamental breach of contract that leaves him open to multi-million lawsuits from Arsenal, Suarez and other potentially interested parties.
