The coup de grace in Munich

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The coup de grace in Munich

Post by Chippy »

4-1 on Tuesday will do!

Seriously we should put out all the youngsters and rest everyone who might keep us in the FA Cup.

Can't see us getting anything there - especially seeing as Flappy will be in goal.

All a bit after the Lord Mayor's show for me. 0% chance of progression, let's rotate and give some younger/fringe players a chance. I would rather not get pillaged (or raped seeing as those two tend to go hand in hand) but I'd take a 3-0 defeat with Jenkinson, Gnabry etc etc rather than watching our key players bust a gut for 90 minutes chasing the ball in a 2-1 loss.

I could not give a shit today.

I just hope no injury to Ox - I'm pretty sure that's why Wenger risked the rosicky sub, and a not too heavy defeat that would drop the confidence back after today.

I'll leave the CL to the snobs, AKB's and JCL's . It means nothing to me (Vienna).

Play the reserves, we have a much more important game vs the Sc*m next weekend. We can't afford any more injuries

1-2. The most dignified retreat from Europe since Dunkirk.

Last thing I want to see is our key players haring around chasing the ball for 90 minutes in Munich on the way to our inevitable defeat.

Want to see the likes of Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Gnabry, Zelalem, Podolski, Sanogo, etc playing.

That definitely isn't Wengers way. He rested Giroud today, because he prioritises the Bayern game, and is delusional enough to think we have a chance of winning it. 3-0 them

Ah, come on - you can't play your reserves at Bayern in the European Cup even if it was 2-0 in the first leg.

It's obviously an almost impossible ask, but still... you can't simply throw in the towel without trying.

Genuinely hope we try and win this.

Even a Mike Riley special couldn't save us.
