City match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

City match thread

Post by Chippy »

In Turkey at the moment so didn't see last night's fiasco. I think a draw is the best we can hope for.

I don't think we will be bumholed, wenker will aim to defend the whole game to save his bacon knowing that the worlds press are watching closely, surely another useless performance will leave nearly everybody thinking hes finished surely??we wont even get a shot away,2 nil to shitty I reckon,Wenker out :banghead:

If they score early, it could be a landslide. Even if they don't, they'll still win 3-0 or so.

With a comprehensive loss to City and Everton winning at Fulham we will then nicely positioned just 3 points above Everton with them to come in the next game. The annual 4th place trophy is warming up nicely.

For how much longer do we have to put up with this crap?

City score for fun, we've conceded 8 in our last two games. The vultures are circling, the end is nigh and my sanity is about to be restored. Roll on May.

This will not be pretty.

A team brimming with confidence playing a team lacking it something fierce.

We will lose by 2+

Defeat here and Everton will be 3 behind us with a game in hand (home banker vs Palace). By the time the semi-final rolls around they will be 3 points clear in the much coveted race for fourth

I'm reminded of the scene in Rocky 3 where Clubber Lang is asked for his prediction on the fight...

Best we can hope is that they take the foot off the gas at 3-0 up and we plod through the rest of the game with no more injuries.

0-6. Another accident.

Seriously, we could see our biggest ever home defeat record tumble here; previously 1-4 vs Chelsea.

The problem with Wengers defense mode strategy is that we let other team have the ball but do not press untill they get well into our half which has the center backs having to make challenge after challenge and with a team like City they can probe around until they win a free kick or corner.
At this point they will rip the piss out of the fragile Zonal marking system and we will concede ............over and over and over again again !

Our only hope is that we can drag them down to our level then beat them with experience ! :barscarf: :-P
